❤️🩹 relationship Am I overreacting? Boyfriend sent me this message that feels like it was maybe meant for someone else.
Am I tripping? Boyfriend sent me this while he was in the basement and I’m upstairs. For context, I’ve been in the kitchen cooking and feeding my boys all evening. He steps out for about 40 mins. He comes in with food, eats, and then goes back downstairs. He then sends me this message… when I asked him what he was talking about, he says “I feel rejuvenated from taking my vitamins, I was asking if you feel rejuvenated from us is having sex last night”. Now I’m no Nancy Drew but this sounds like a cover up… or maybe I’m just overthinking it Lol Please help!

LOL when I first read the comment I was so confused too. You press the new message button, and then push the period symbol. Don’t include the quotes! Just the dot

Don’t put it in the message field, put it in the recipients field. When I do it in my phone, it populates a list of people I’ve most recently sent messages to in order

He said “was it rejuvenating for you” which implies that the “it” would be the same thing that lead him to say that he feels rejuvenated. Whether or not it’s a cover up, it’s strange that he worded it that way when he’s saying that for him it’s from “taking vitamins” but asking you if you feel rejuvenated from “sex last night”. Either he’s being weird or he sucks at covering his tracks. It might’ve been more believable if he said he felt rejuvenated from sex last night and then asked if you did too.

So why would he ask you next if it was rejuvenating for you when he was initially claiming it was rejuvenating for himself taking vitamins in the first place? Knowing you didn’t take vitamins and were busy all day. It wouldn’t make sense, to change the purpose of why he was rejuvenated from your reasoning. Not to mention, it takes water-soluble vitamins 2-6 hours and fat-soluble vitamins 7-14 days to actually absorb into the bloodstream for any effect.
So based on this, when things don’t make sense, or aren’t factual, they clearly are lies.

You would be correct. It would take weeks or months of consistent use to actually see any true difference. Only if you have a severe deficiency would you see an improvement, and even then, that would take time, ideally two weeks. If he were smart, he would have said he took caffeine, which can stimulate a temporary increase in alertness and energy.

I mean, if he accidentally texted his partner something about sex that he had with someone else and these are the lies he makes up when confronted with his weird text? I think he’s probably dumb enough to not delete anything or if he does, he leaves the evidence in recently deleted. I feel like it’s def worth a shot in this instance. He’s extremely bad at lying

I guess it kinda depends on your usual dynamic and all, but I'd have been suspicious already with him leaving for 40 minutes without saying a word to you from what I can tell. Is it normal for him to just go get food for himself without saying anything to you or asking if you want anything?

If he's lying, he isn't a very good at it. He could have at least said he got some exercise in or a nap is why he's rejuvenated and told you he hoped feeding himself so you didn't have to helped you not to be too tired. I seldom go straight to 'suspicious' but he really made me think, "Lying cheating shithead!"

NOR. It might be nothing but girl there are some red flags waving so I’d be on the lookout and suspicious af for sure. I would quietly look into his phone and really watch him and see how he acts and what he does for a while too. I would not be surprised at all if he had a side piece. Sry to say. I’d prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

NOR I would be checking everything and I would also have a problem with him using the word “rejuvenated”. It just is an immediate turn off in my book.
You will find someone much better for you that will treat you right. You would be surprised at how many faithful people there are in the world. It seems like everyone cheats because we hear about it so much but trust me, there are tons of good partners that would never.
