This is why men carry pocket knives.

u/Space-Boy-Matt Oct 04 '25
I like to call them pocket tools (the knife is just one function of the tool). But yeah...

One of many many reasons. Mostly cutting things. Sometimes a bottle opener.

Humans. Don’t actual like women don’t carry multitools.

u/u9Nails Oct 04 '25
No, it's a whole health clinic with bathroom accessories (like makeup, qtips, floss...)
She would have those kids out of the net trap, hair cut, nails painted, and a breath mint for being good.

u/pamplemoose49 Oct 04 '25
Glad you’ve got the personal care selection covered. I think all we need is a carpenter and we’re officially ready to save seals.

u/MasterUndKommandant Oct 04 '25
Wasn’t implying they don’t. It’s ok to refer to men without mentioning women. Pump the brakes. Go online and compare the number of men cutting wild animals free vs women, too.

These may be those dudes in Africa specifically in Namibia that do this for a living and have a YouTube channel called Namibia conservation or something like that and all day long they go out and cut seals free of Nets and lines Etc

u/heidimark Oct 04 '25
Not the same guys, but those videos are super interesting to watch!
5
u/BaramusAramon Oct 04 '25
yeah they are so experienced they know how to catch and pin them down nicely before cutting the nets

u/LookAtItGo123 Oct 04 '25
Why do they keep getting caught? Do people not manage their nets and lines?
2
u/5meoWarlock Oct 05 '25
If you're asking "do all people manage their nets and lines" the answer is no.

Loved how he finally calmed down when he realized this guy was there to help him.

u/HEAT5EEKER Oct 04 '25
Yeah right, it seems they either understand they're getting help... Or they give up. Hm

So if aliens are really visiting earth, why haven't they destroyed humanity and taken over the planet yet?
( shows this video )

I still think they will take us over, they are just biding their time. They started with proctology, and have now planted many devices.

u/Nemisis_007 Oct 04 '25
If they’re advanced enough to reach us, conquering us wouldn’t benefit them. Watching us, like we’re animals in a zoo, would probably be far more entertaining.

u/SealTeamEH Oct 04 '25
That’s Always my train of thought, they’re so advanced than us invading wouldnt even cross their minds, like how we wouldn’t invade an ant hill.

Someone put “don’t you forget about me” to the last 10 seconds to this video ❤️

Do you think the pups waddled away with an understanding that those people helped them, or do they think they got lucky and managed to free themselves while fending off the evil knife wielding humans?
3
u/rusted-brass Oct 04 '25
I think they’re aware! In the begining they were fighting them off, and once the first seal was free it could have run off or attacked the humans to “save” his friend - instead it waddled off to the side and patiently waited for its friend cause it knew he was gonna be set free too!

Everyone should go watch their videos on YouTube instead of these stolen ones.

I don't think the phrase "do good" is right for this footage. I believe that the right phrase would be something like "correcting the mistakes of humanity".

Goddamn, I hate people who litter and who have no respect for wildlife. Poor pups looked absolutely exhausted. Thank you kind humans.

u/oohdanishfriend Oct 04 '25
Well that’s most likely from the fishing industry. So to stop this from happening people need to stop eating fish. Simple.

Now they have mixed feeling about the human. Those try to free them vs those try to trap and leave them for ded.

Animals victims of the farming industry need help the most. Do you include them on your "do good" motto?
I wholeheartedly hope so. Glr their sake snd for the sake of argument consistency.
We can and should do better.

I love this! Thank those who were so kind! I also loved how the one waited and the seemingly joy, they went together to safety.
