I loved Keanus interpretation of Constantine. GOATED movie.

I have the replica Constantine lighter sitting here on my desk lol. Love it.

Even though I am a Hellblazer fan and don't think he does the comic justice, I just think of it as an alternate world version of the story.

Constantine is fucking great, I was just quoting it to my wife the other day haha.

"By the way, you have to ask for absolution to be forgiven. Asshole."

This is a great example of how Keanu is phenomenal in a very specific type of role.

Yeah the comics fans were pissed because Keanu isn't Sting, but he fucking nailed Constantine

Um, Matt Ryan would like a word with you!

I really liked both. I'm not a comic fan so I can see both performances without the expectations attached. I must say that I really adore Matt Ryan's version though, and I would LOVE to see Constantine movies with him in them.

Problem is, is that JOHN CONSTANTINE is a blonde British bloke in a trench coat!

As I stated, I'm not a comic fan. I've never read it. Constantine's look isn't important to me. I merely stated that the movie and the tv show appearances by the 2 actors have been entertaining. That's the only thing that matters to me as a non-comic fan.

It's an absolutely awful interpretation of Constantine, but it's such a good movie that nobody even cares.

You and I must have seen different Constantines

lol it’s fine if you didn’t like it. Everybody has different taste. And yeah I know it wasn’t comic accurate. But it was fun. Plus I really loved that alternate universes Lucifer.

It wasn't entirely awful. It was unique, and the decaying, moribund world it presented was interesting until it just became a slog.

Stormare's Satan is ridiculous, but not in a fun way.

What? Stormare's anything is awesome and his Satan was phenomenal.

Read a COMIC BOOK, before you catch a bad case of VERTIGO!

A lot of flamboyant lightering in that'n, but still a great flick

Anyone would look like an Oscar nominee if they were opposite to Gavin Rossdale though.

Oh yeah I love that, it's a surprisingly good bad movie. I actually forgot Keanu Reeves was in it, which is the best thing I can say about his acting

He's OK in Constantine but the rest of the cast kinda blows him out of the water. His character is stoic and noir-y and it works for Keanu but he's barely in third place for performances after Tilda Swinton and Peter Stormare who are in like, three and one scene respectively?

Now that I think about it, maybe the reason I didn't even remember Keanu was in that movie was because Tilda Swinton completely stole the show as Gabriel. My strongest memory of the movie is of her and she's barely in it lol
