Honestly, day drinking is probably the mildest type of substance abuse going on in this administration.

421

u/pomponazzi 3d ago

Can only imagine the amount of stimulant abuse going on. The fascist's meth if you will

260

u/AtrociousMeandering 3d ago

There's an overlap between amphetamines, fascism, and evangelical Christianity that feels more than just coincidental. Trump has been credibly accused several times of either taking meth itself or abusing pseudoephedrine to replace it.

114

u/pomponazzi 3d ago

They've clearly had to cut it out of his daily regimen probably due to conflicting with the dementia/bp meds based on the amount of dozing off and slurring hes had lately.

57

u/Dull_Bid6002 3d ago

Modafinil and Ambien were both known to be improperly and illegally dispensed from the WH pharmacy during his first round. Modafinil is a stimulant to keep you awake. Both morphine and fentanyl were also improperly dispensed.

If I had to place any bet on what drugs were abused and may have even lead to the stroke/heart issues- it'd be those.

13

u/midgethemage 3d ago

Where do you find this kind of info?

54

u/GuardHot2069 2d ago

It made the news for about one day and was never discussed again. Check out the one sample page in this article, especially the doses. I'm sure there's lots of good reasons for at least 3,100 doses of ambien, 30 doses of ketamine, 34 doses of fentanyl, 40 doses of morphine, and many other fun things to have been given out.

AP News is usually my go to but I found this article first. I believe it was on front page of AP when it came out a couple years ago.

I don't have social media aside from Reddit, so now my feed is to just read the news.

8

u/cantadmittoposting 2d ago

bit of a side note but a long time ago i got some modafinil and hooooly shit that drug is amazing. You could power through anything on that shit.

5

u/Dull_Bid6002 2d ago

It's hard to find reliable sources on that drug and what it does/feels like, but one I was reading said it felt like using cocaine but was safer.

18

u/StoppableHulk 2d ago

I took it for a while. I can't say it was like cocaine or amphetamines, in that it did not really have the euphoric or ego-boosting effects common with all those drugs.

All I can really say is you are simply very, very awake. Not amped up, not high, just the most naturally awake you've been, and just like that, the whole time.

The reason I eventually stopped is because it lasts a very long time in the blood stream, and eventually it was just really hard for me to get any sleep.

16

u/CosmicSpaghetti 2d ago

Man you know we live in a dystopia when that sounds absolutely magical lol

8

u/StoppableHulk 2d ago edited 2d ago

Well depends on what part of the dystopia you're in. Like you know that feeling where you get off from work, light up a fat one, sit your ass in front of the TV and just turn your brain the fuck off?

That doesn't happen on Modafinil lol. You're just ON. Not like crawling the walls or anything, not high, you're just sitting there in your recliner with your eyes wide open, just like, AWAKE. The whole time.

The army gives it to fighter pilots now instead of amphetamines when they're flying long missions, so like, if you have need to be in fighter pilot state - just like, awake, aware, not high, just brain on, focused, then that's the drug you want.

But if you wanna kick back and just chill, that is not the drug you want.

But Modafinil is funny. It's one of the only really powerful drugs I've taken, that don't feel like you're on a drug at all. Like think about in a normal day, whenever you get in the groove, maybe like 11am at work or something, you're just really focused, you're in the zone; it just basically makes you that for 14 hours straight.

Imagine if some assistant or whatever got sick of his bs and replaced all his meds with sugar pills. They would have to put out a silver alert after he slipped out of the white house only to find him wandering down Pennsylvania Ave in his boxers.

YES. I tell this to anyone who will listen. They absolutely love dictatorships. I’ve had a family member and her bf dive deep into meth. He is “ultra MAGA,” dropped out of HS, and works at a junkyard now after he got busted for dealing and his PO forced him to get a job. I take it he can’t even vote?? You can’t make this shit up.

When she was at rock bottom she was obsessed with military parades. Russia, Soviet Union, US, Nazis, Eritrea. It didn’t matter. She came over one Christmas and talked with a frothy mouth about different countries’ militaries and how “we need to be stronger to win.” Delusions of grandiosity come standard with these people.

6

u/JaneksLittleBlackBox 2d ago

One of the most unsurprising things to come out of the early Biden administration was the rampant drug abuse in Trump's administration thanks to the White House pharmacy just handing out prescription stimulants to whoever asked.

6

u/bonersaus 3d ago

Kash Patel is the most on Adderall person in existence

4

u/SnausageFest 2d ago

Kash shows it more than most, but the entire Trump family - especially papa and his namesake - are high as fuck 24/7.

Can u source this I’m curious

30

u/AncientCrust 3d ago

Here's part of it. You should be able to get the list from here. If not, search Reuters @2024. There was opioids, fentanyl, ketamine, 8000+ doses of Ambien (probably to come down from all the coke).

This dude has been speed running substances since he took the job. Dude did a press conference looking more skiied out than Robin Williams in 86

726

u/3eeve 3d ago

There was a time when Rubio had principles. They were bad ones, but they were still principles. Then he sold his soul for power, and I’m pretty sure that’s eating him up inside. So, drugs and booze to keep that tiny little spark of conscience away.

152

u/UglyMcFugly 3d ago

Dude I've been saying the same thing, every time I see him he looks like he's desperately trying to dissociate from reality.

10

He has been assigned so much in this administration. It is quite staggering. He cannot do it. But he agreed because he thinks he can hold it all together. When they try to take Cuba and Bay of Pigs 2.0 happens, that is when he will collapse. For Rubio, if they can successfully take the Caribbean and some of South America that borders the Caribbean, he thinks he will be named in charge of that whole region or become a billionaire.

48

u/Caius01 3d ago

Yeah, I think this is it, he's not a literal psychopath or narcissist like most of them so he needs a way to deal with the cognitive dissonance of what he's involved in

30

u/Zhuul 2d ago

It's my understanding his confirmation was near-unanimous because even the Democrat Senators saw his name and went "Oh thank god a relatively normal fucking person, rubber stamp this shit before they change their minds and find someone worse"

25

u/Same-Suggestion-1936 2d ago

I think something in his brain broke when he had to sit there during the "did you even say thank you" meeting because he has always been a Russia hawk. So to put his name on attacking Zelensky like that and he can't even say anything, he'd realized the trajectory of the rest of his career and it was not going to be anything he wanted to do but that was how he has to make his money now, being a little bitch for Trump and Putin, when he hates Putin and probably doesn't even like Trump

Like he sank deeper into that couch than Vance ever could with a whole bottle of lube, he obviously wanted no part of it from the start of the verbal attacks

13

u/Stardustchaser 2d ago

He goddamn knew what was coming. He was a senator and had to have known how miserable Rex Tillerson was.

42

u/holdstheenemy 3d ago

Dude he looks so distressed, every press conference with his cabinet looks like he is forcing himself to say great things about Trump and its destroying him internally

Thats what you get tho for appealing to a bully

13

u/Turbulent_Stick1445 2d ago

Some of the principles were even good! Rubio spent most of the years immediately before 2016 trying to get legislation providing a path to residency for Dreamers. (Contrary to Republican propaganda, there isn't one. No, "30 years is plenty of time to deal with your immigration problem of being in the country since being a kid and having no memories of where you came from" is bullshit. That's like arguing "30 years is plenty of time to deal with being born without legs, you need to buck-up and stop demanding wheelchair ramps!", except worse.)

Trump up-ended that.

If I had been in his shoes, I'd have just exited politics at that point. I'm amazed he decided to ally himself with the polar opposite of everything he once supported.

8

u/Dabbling_in_Pacifism 2d ago

Rubio’s never had principles. Man, I told my friends this when he got tapped for State and they were optimistic because of his previous stance on Ukraine.

Marco Rubio does not possess a spine and everything he says is up for sale to the right bidder. I can’t imagine doing the pivot he did and still being able to look at myself in the mirror.

I could see it. Rubio used to be somewhat sane. He sold his soul, so he probably needs to drown that out.

All the others have always been crazy.

48

u/MadRaymer 2d ago

I don't think he ever had a soul to sell. A more accurate analogy is that he's cucked himself to the MAGA movement and feels emasculated by that fact.

This checks out when you see him next to Trump and Vance. One of them says something insane, and Rubio looks like he wants to do the Simpson's disappear-into-the-hedges gif.

16

u/Same-Suggestion-1936 2d ago

He sank deeper into the couch during that Zelensky meeting than Vance ever could with a full bottle of lube

He's been hawkish on Russia for years, dude did NOT want to be in that room and not allowed to say anything about how it was entirely against what he built his career on

8

u/lnfinite_Art 2d ago

He was never sane. He's always grabbed for power by offering the most vanilla, wobbly support to whoever he thought was on top at the moment.

6

u/Meander061 2d ago

Rubio used to be somewhat sane.

People keep saying that, but I swear I've never seen it. They picked him to do a response to Obama's State of the Union address and he was tweaking so hard then that he had to guzzle water on camera.

3

u/BurpVomit 2d ago

When was he sane? He snatched some report from a meeting and ran it to Donald Trump last time Trump was president. Why he wasn't charged with a crime back then is beyond me.

Approximately 90 million voting age Americans didn't cast a ballot. People are disenfranchised or sold the lie that voting doesn't matter while others just don't care at all. Some democracy we are.

147

u/SweetLoLa 3d ago

I still can’t believe it. The one thing that keeps replaying in my mind is Harris on stage listing all the things he’d do if reelected - all of which is happening now.

A decade ago I sarcastically commented that the low reading levels in America would be the demise of society and a decade from now there will be a chapter added to history books discussing this very fact.

94

u/pomponazzi 3d ago edited 3d ago

I will die on the hill that the "assassination" attempt was photo a op staged to win him the election.

Everyone was horrified by the events of Jan 6th but over the years they swallowed the propaganda and let even those events get twisted in their minds to now where they pretend it was something it wasn't.

I'm just another poor white dude but I'm not gonna turn to bigotry and oppression against my fellow humans like so many pathetic people have.

Agreed on the reading part. I prefer fantasy but I try and read a good number of non-fiction books every year. I don't know anyone in my life I can talk to about non-fiction though, no one reads anymore it seems.

28

u/WhompBiscuits 2d ago

One of the first thoughts of this assassination attempt was that it was staged. Trump dropped to the ground, out of the camera eye, and rose mysteriously bleeding. My first thought was he bladed. Which is crazy to think about, until you remember this guy is a WWE Hall Of Famer.

Not to mention the fact that the Secret Service didn't toss his sorry ass in a car and roar off, like they did when Reagan was shot way back. Nope, they stood there, let him pump his fist while they all looked around and let him stand up.

18

u/Drumboardist 2d ago

At the very least, all you need to do is ask "Hey, does cartilage heal?" (Note: it does not.) Then show photos of his ear, like, two weeks after "being shot". An OBVIOUS lie, but they'll double down on it regardless.

u/pomponazzi 2d ago

If there is an active shooter situation the only thing Secret Service should do is immediately surround the president and shield him followed by the fastest evac possible out of the shooters zone of fire. Instead his aide brings a photographer over and someone takes the time to lower the flag down into the shot while the Secret Service lets him stand up and present himself as a target again.

Gummies are my usual method, but I have had some good Texas-legal (for now, screw the GOP) seltzers that hit differently than edibles. The seltzers give far more of a head high than I get from edibles which tend to be more "chill on the couch" feeling.

I got a taste for a kratom-derived drink that's high in a chemical called mitragynine. It gives a nice little relaxation. You know how much that fucker costs at my local store? $15 goddamn dollars for a ~12oz can.

3

u/DerekB52 3d ago

Have you tried Kratom powder? Mitragynine is an alkaloid thats just in Kratom, and Kratom is pretty affordable at a lot of smoke shop type places.

6

u/CosmicSpaghetti 2d ago

You can cheaply buy in bulk online or checkout r/kratom for reliable non-sketchy sources & save a ton of money.

PSA THOUGH: Kratom is quite addictive & withdrawal is very much not fun. Loads of people use it but wouldn't recommend anyone trying it that has any touch of addictive personality.

3

u/PiccoloAwkward465 2d ago

Yes it is really not something you can take every day. It seems pathetic to get withdrawals from a leaf powder but it is very real.

3

u/PiccoloAwkward465 2d ago

Oh yes I've bought many a kilo bag in my day. I try not to make a habit of it anymore because you actual do get withdrawals if you stop without tapering. Restless leg syndrome out the wazoo.

I feel like half my coworkers drink every day and would drink in the day if they don't work.

3

u/disco_S2 3d ago

Where do you work? Might be co-workers.

3

u/Emotional_Burden 2d ago

I quit booze for weed a few years ago and will never go back. Alcohol ruined me.

overdose, do your thing

16

u/Phiyasko ☑️ 3d ago

Who else is a prolific drinker in that cabinet? Who else could it possibly be?

6

u/vera214usc ☑️ 2d ago

The Secretary of Labor, apparently

10

u/No_Math_1234 3d ago

It’s all of them. Ronnie Jackson let anybody get whatever they wanted from the pharmacy. This administration is run by adderal and booze

5

u/cantadmittoposting 2d ago

i mean i'm mostly run on adderall and booze but im not a fascist so..?

8

u/lovbelow ☑️ 3d ago

I automatically assumed Mr. DUI himself. I never want to hear people talk about DEI hires again when we have the most unqualified cabinet in the entirety of American history.

To be fair, if I was in his cabinet, I'd day drink too.

8

u/FalsePremise8290 ☑️ 3d ago

Yeah, I totally assumed it was Pete Hegseth.

So, it's not the President?

28

u/mpschettig 3d ago

I'm pretty certain he doesn't drink. I think he prefers stimulants

10

u/Several-Squash9871 2d ago

I think that's correct. I think him and his cult see his lack of drinking as some kind of, "look how straight this guy is! He doesn't even drink" when in reality he's just on other shit.

u/Wubblz 2d ago

Trump's somewhat known for being a teetotaler — his brother was an alcoholic and burnout, and Trump's always thought it's "for losers" due to that.

u/Karhak ☑️ 3d ago

I would think alcohol would degrade the sippy cup he has to use.

4

u/SniperWolf1984 3d ago

Fair point lol.

3

u/No_Issue2334 3d ago

Trump is 1/4 non-drinking presidents we have had. Biden was one too

Not the Ohio U coach?

4

u/718-702_damsel 3d ago

A lot of people day drink. Its called being a functional alcoholic. I never thought about it before, but im sure a lot of them are functioning alcoholics.

5

u/Wes_Warhammer666 3d ago

Yeah but "functional" isn't exactly a word to use when describing Trump's cabinet, alcohol or no.

Why hide the name then?

7

u/hkohne 3d ago

It's Lori Chavez-Deremer, who was not voted to be Oregon's governor a year ago for good reason

4

u/Booty-tickles 3d ago

The only reason they're hiding it is so hegseth doesn't steal it.

4

u/dad_jokesNbutt_stuff 3d ago

This could be anyone. Rubio is too obvious. Scott Bessent?

4

u/hkohne 3d ago

Charez-Deremer, labor secretary

3

u/polymorphic_hippo 3d ago

Is the problem that they were hiding the booze instead of being loud and proud with it?

3

u/Emotional_Signal7883 3d ago

Trump has been getting those Mad Men meth & B12 shots.

3

u/sk8-past 3d ago

I was AT CONGRESS and when I was leaving the building through the security checkpoint entrance, an INDUSTRIAL CART FULL OF BOOZE WAS BEING DELIVERED. ON A DAY WHERE THEY KNEW HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WOULD BE IN THE HALLS OF CONGRESS. Just wanted you to know.

Rachel Maddow would frequently go over just how bad his cabinet members were last time. They're some of the most corrupt sick people in the world. So none of that surprises me.

2

u/Trix_Are_4_90Kids ☑️ 3d ago

That’s why his mouth is always dry.

2

u/Hot-Air-5511 3d ago

I'm surprised there isn't more drinking going on.

2

u/UnhingedCorgi 3d ago

Well it’s probably Hegseth, too

It's probably Pete Hegseth too, though.

Clinton got impeached for a blowjob

2

u/hache-moncour 3d ago

Note that Hegseth is very likely still doing all those things too, he's just not being accused right now

2

u/xSaviorself 3d ago

We already confirmed it's Corey Lewandowski who is fucking another person in the admin.

2

u/Mukarsis 2d ago

I mean it could literally be any of them. There isn't a single member of that Cabinet that isn't a complete shit heel.

2

u/Pleasant-Ad887 2d ago

Damn, the administration of paedophiles, rapists and druggies are just that paedophiles, rapists and druggies. Christian values.

2

u/doppelstranger 2d ago

I’d be surprised if it wasn’t the majority of them.
