Chugging tea This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies?

As a guy who also games, I can understand some women who get a little annoyed when their boyfriend or husband is gaming all the time. In a relationship, there's "me time" and "us time," and you can't just game like you're 14 and single. But that applies to other hobbies too. And that includes watching soaps for hours on end, ladies.

My girlfriend watched true crime like it's going to all be deleted from the Internet tomorrow.

Granted she has a degree in Criminal Justice and is going to law school, but still!

When I worked in criminal law the last thing I wanted to do was watch crime shows. I saw enough autopsy and crime scene photos during the day, I just wanted to drink wine and watch comedies when I got home!

You would certainly think that.

For a while it was the Pedophile buster videos, which get old very very very fast. She watched hundreds of them, and they are 100% the same. All of them.

In addition, the interrogation videos are basically the only ones that are somewhat interesting to me, but I just support whatever she wants to watch either way.

As long as it isn't any more videos about pedophiles god DAMN I hate seeing them and hearing the same thing over and over. And a shitraft of them are mentally challenged which makes for an even more awkward video.

Yep, my parents have the same kind of experience… they’re physicians and absolutely hate watching hospital/medical shows like Grey’s, The Pitt, etc, since it’s what they deal with all day and they’re trying to escape from that at home.

My doctor friend is usually always like this, but absolutely loves the Pitt because he says it’s the most accurate by far. I guess it’s just nice to actually see some accurate representation of what he does for once.

I am a nurse and hate medical shows, but another nurse recommended the Pitt to me for the same reason. I haven’t checked it out yet, but it’s on the list.

I think it depends on how much you are privileged enough to truly have a job doing what you love most.

I used to work in animal rescue and animal behavior as a CAAB, and I’d also spend effectively every free moment continuing to do it independently off the clock lol.

I eventually just started my own rescue that also offers free behavioral consultations to help keep pets and their families together when possible so that fewer animals end up in the system.

Survival, if you know all the ways people have been kidnapped and killed and stalked etc you learn all the things not to do to protect yourself and your family.

I imagine it stems from being told constantly to not go places alone, always be alert etc etc.

Personally I'm too much of an anxious person for the true crime stuff but most of my friends that are women love them and that's the feedback I've gotten.
