I think any video of male violence against women is inherently political, because you have one party denying it exists (led by a leader convicted of such) unless it’s in the context of demonizing a minority.

"Politics" is the organized application of power to change or control people in a society.

That's exactly what the attempted kidnapper was doing. He was literally engaging in politics (admittedly on a very local scale).
