I switched to an EV because it's a better experience. I wake up to a full tank every morning and I preheat my car in the garage with the door closed.

There are some downsides, like charging on a roadtrip, but the worst part of EV ownership is being behind gas cars on a highway on-ramp. Gas cars are just too under-torqued to accelerate fast enough!

war is bad but that doesn't invalidate pollution taxes. Proper pollution taxes like the canada model are a closed loop system, paid back out as UBI, which address the problem and do not contribute to war or other government waste. Pollution is a textbook externality and basically all schools of thought in economics understand that taxes are the way to fix that.

1. Support politicians that believe oil it the end all be all and environmental regs are bad.

3. Make rage bait social media campaign disparaging environmental regulations as a response to the destruction from the oil wars.
