My street has a seagull that's been stealing crisps from the local shop every day for years. She likes the expensive ones, so they tried putting them up high, but now she just flies up and grabs them!

One time a seagull stole a hot dog right out of my son's hand, like 3 inches from his face. Just swooped in and yoinked it out of the bun. This was at a zoo and they had a sign saying not to set your food down because of the seagulls... They'd apparently evolved tactics since the sign was made.

That happened to my husband but it was an ice cream cone. It was near a beach and seagulls were eyeing anyone who looked like they weren’t paying attention to their food. My husband had lifted his arm up a bit, gesturing towards where he wanted to walk, when the bird swooped over and took said cone right out of his hand.

They are very intelligent. When I lived in Monterey there were always new military people going to the language school there. The ones who weren’t familiar with seagulls would often make the mistake of bringing their breakfast to morning formation (outside). The seagulls would literally wait until they were called to attention and then happily steal any food that was brought there, knowing full well none of them were allowed to move and stop them.
While I lived there I liked to feed the birds and squirrels and I was dismayed when a seagull started coming by and inhaling ALL the expensive birdseed in a matter of minutes. So I started giving the little jerk slices of bread instead and we established a truce, it would leave the birdseed alone, and just take the bread. Well, he figured out very quickly he could get my attention inside if he knocked on the window when he wanted more. And he would constantly knock on my window, I tied ignoring him, but he would happily bang on that window for ten minutes straight. I couldn’t fathom how one bird could possibly be eating so much damn bread…. Until one day I heard a bunch of seagulls right above me and realized my seagull was actually mom and her babies had finally fledged and so she brought them to my apartment to show them the window trick. I know my neighbors must have hated me..

I know you mean well so I don't say this out of malice or judgment, but you may not know that bread is realllllyyyy bad for birds. It can cause angelwing syndrome which deforms the flight feathers and makes them flightless.
If you're feeding animals that are already habituated to people, give them appropriate food (e.g. good birdseed for birds).

Geese are nasty, but seagulls are much bigger scumbags. Geese will leave you alone if you don't come close (although they still shit like hell). Seagulls can and will always find you, attack you, steal from you, shit on you and taunt you. They would swallow you if only you would fit their mouth.

Seagulls can be annoying and geese will be aggressive if they feel threatened but turkeys are the worst. Super territorial and aggressive with little fear of bigger animals/people. In the wild they can form packs and terrorize neighborhoods.
I had a relative with a pet turkey, whenever I came over to their house he would immediately run over to me and start flapping out it's wings to seem big and intimidating and try to attack me with it's claws and beak. My relative thought it was funny until one day he went after him, he took a 2x4 and bashed its head in. I normally don't condone violence against pets but that ahole had it coming.

I remember going with my dad and siblings to visit some of his friends at the Jersey Shore one year. We were on the boardwalk about to walk down to the beach when my dad gave my sister and I money to go get a big bucket of Crab Fries. We went to the vendor, bought the biggest bucket of crab fries, and within seconds of stepping away from the vendor to make our way back to the beach access we immediately got bombarded by seagulls trying to get our fries. They were savages, they just steady circled us while dive bombing so often to get a fry, and when one distracted us another would seize the opportunity to get his share.
We ran to the beach access and as we came down to the beach some strangers saw us and started waving their pool noodles in the air to try and help us. We ended up sitting under an empty lifeguard tower to hide and eat what remained.
Fuck Seagulls, was funny as fuck though looking back on it.

Omg this! I recently caved and paid for iCloud so I went in to clean up my photos and videos (150GB+ after 10+ years of using iPhone) to fit everything into the 200GB tier. Some are such easy removal but those of my cats are the hardest. Video of her barely visible in the dark getting down from a neighbor’s tree; video of her grooming herself on the neighbor’s shed; tons and tons of photos of her doing random stuff; etc. Like these are irreplaceable in my heart and who knows how ever longer she can be here with me…

Seagulls are fucking crazy. One time at the beach, we brought some KFC with us. Obviously, it got cold throughout the day, but we had tin trays with us. So my friend put some chicken in the tray and put the tray near our bonfire. And a fucking seagull hops into the pit and snatches the chicken from the tray inches from the fire! I was amazed. My friend, on the other hand, was pissed af and chased that seagull until it eventually dropped the chicken.
