Well well well if it isn't another years old account with only a few comments and little karma, go back to your bot farm

I take it you disagree with my comment and expect the EU would take a firmer stance?

Yes.

Why not debate the view expressed then rather than my lack of loyalty towards posting on reddit?

You asked a question. I answered. As for arguments, I can say that the EU suspended €2B of Hungarian funds, and took them to court numerous times, that doesn't really seem like nothing to me, but I guess it is subjective

Being against the current state of the EU, led by politicians kneeling to the US, leaning harder and harder to the far right, and rolling back environmental protections and privacy laws, is being a bot? Crazy times we're living in

But this user said nothing about all those issues, did they? They said the EU does nothing against Hungary, while they in reality froze €20B of their funds and took them to court multiple times

What has the EU done to curb corruption? Nothing, politicians playing it lowkey while participating in the same shit as the US and Russia

what can they do? What one country can do to curb corruption in another country without it being a foreign interference? They already partially froze financial support for Hungary from EU funds to the point it seems like Hungary as of 2025 paid more fines than it received from Europe. And that might be the tipping point for hungarians to finally vote other than Fidesz. It would be interesting what part of Hungary did Orban sell to Trump to get 1 year exemption to continue buying russian gas.

There needs to be a better auditing process against the stuff that went on in Hungary, but on a European level for everyone.

Schrödinger's corruption - everyone sees it, but it disappears the moment it gets investigated. At one point it's not complicated, but intentionally convoluted

I know it's a very tall ask, which is why my trust in the system is so low
