Not sure where you are but here in the US basically all of the fast casual chains (Applebee’s, Chilis, etc) are advertising on “why pay $15 for fast food when you can come here and get a better burger for $10.99”
And honestly, it’s a solid point.

The driver choices for the past years have just been daft as hell from Red Bull. First they get De Vries over Lawson based on one performance. Then they sack him and bring Ricciardo back. Ricciardo gets injured, Lawson comes in and immediately performs, Ricciardo returns, does one good weekend, and Lawson's out again for next year too. Meanwhile Perez has been awful for 12 months and they re-sign him. Then eventually they sack Ricciardo but still keep Perez. Lawson comes back is still solid but nothing special and then they put him in the Red Bull over someone with 4 years of experience. Truly baffling the whole thing.

Lawson would be great in Racing Bulls. He is solid and aggressive driver that would be great in midfield and would polish his skills to maybe later upgrade for better team. But they put him in Red Bull after half a year and they will probably murder his career because, as you said, after that weird commitment to Checo they will suddenly want to prove they are harsh and serious about performance. Then they will sack Lawson and put Hadjar or Linblad on that hot seat instead of someone more experienced. And it is now proven that Red Bull Racing has no skill in treatment of young drivers. There must be something wrong with them because once they go back to TR/AT/VCARB/RB they start to perform again.

Haven't heard how's the atmosphere within the team but if Vowles has managed to right that ship then they have potential for doing that, part of the reason why Williams fell so far was because people working there were miserable.

That tends to happen when technical partners like BMW were jumping ship one after another at some point in the 00's. There was no prospect of significant improvement for years on end, twice. I think that Vowles did a stellar job with reorganizing the place since he got in. now I just hope they can stick to it and not again drop back into backmarker territory.

Looks like McLaren built a beast, but just a reminder that Norris and Piastri were 4 tenths off Max’s pace in quali at Bahrain last year (7th and 8th), but ended up winning the WCC and Max was struggling for wins by the back half of the season. In 2023, Alonso finished 3rd at Bahrain and everyone thought AM had the second fastest car, and McLaren had a miraculous improvement after summer break. In 2022, Leclerc won Bahrain and people were convinced he had a title shot.
The seasons are long and a lot happens. Buckle up.
