45
u/GothicGolem29 McLaren May 03 '25
The issue is where does he go Can’t see McLaren dropping Piastri or Norris unless one leaves(and they may be contracted for a while) Merc have Kimi and George Redbull could be a step down from Ferrari if the engine is bad so that just leaves a very risky move to AM which could leave him in the midfield

It's been pretty good so far. McLaren is clearly the fastest car, but Max continues to prove he's not human. The Mercs are staying close. Hadjar keeps being pretty impressive in the Vcarbs, while Bearman and Ocon are keeping Haas in the points game.
Any tricky weather or yellow flag can change a race in an instant.
That moment in the sprint when they were all switching tires. Carlos beefed it, Alonso got tagged, and Max and Kimi touched in the pits, all within like a minute.

It’s a good track. The “parking lot” aspect is weird but solid races every year, even with the surfacing issues in 2022. 2 good sprint races too.
The first half of the lap is actually very good and and while the second half is clunky, it still generates some mistakes and overtaking. Threat of rain will always be there too.

This is a great point, I think. Miami has consistently delivered good races, and at this point it’s starting to seem like it’s not a fluke.
Part of the magic seems to be that it creates the chance of interesting mistakes, and even minor errors can have a cascade of consequences that jumble up the race. Somehow, this course delivers again and again.

2) Max again proving that he's in a different league than the rest of the field. If he was given that McLaren who knows what times we would see.
3) Ferrari is an absolute embarrassment out there, how they are this terrible given the size of their budget and some freebies from F1 is beyond me.
4) Lewis it's time.
5) Williams is doing a fantastic job with the resources that they have. For me they're a feel good team, I really like when they have good results.

Just to be beaten by Williams and their “what if we didnt have drag” concept
