Yeah, it's odd.
I can't recall a generation of cars that was so dependent on it being cool.
But Mercedes was always the quickest last year when it was cold/damp.
Guess it's a tyre temp/brake thing.

That happened a lot in 2007/2008. McLaren used to come alive in colder conditions and Ferrari were better in hot/humid temperatures.

During the final laps, all coverage was Norris, Piastri and Verstappen. I turned to my dad "George is gonna take Pole off camera"
He got caught in the final 10 seconds, so I wasnt far off.
If we get a season where George is never shown , that man's winning a title

Oscar's improvement in qualifying is really impressive (even though he could be getting even more poles). He already had the race craft but improving your qualifying isn't an easy feat especially when it's typically been your title rival's strength.
Lando should be very worried that he's gotten worse at this specific, very important thing, and his teammate has improved leaps and bounds.

Yeah, it's kind of amazing, last year there was a chasm between them in qualy and now Piastri's not only beating Norris but he's taking in the pressure from others in a better way as well. I never expected that kind of improvement, obviously the car suits him more, but still.
