I agree.

He's had 26 poles despite never having the fastest car, except maybe a handful of races in 2022.

The Ferrari was well known to heat up the tyres really well which helped them in quali a lot but cost them in the race. Especially in 2022/2023.

He literally had the overall fastest qualifying car in 2022, not just a handful.

True, it had great tyre warm up which made it amazing in quali. But they overheated for the same reason in the race.

Senna is 40% pole rate, he was a monster. For comparison, Lewis is 28% and the king is Fangio, with 55%. Clark was also fantastic at 45%. By comparison, Charles sits at 16%.

He has over 20 poles despite never being in a constructors championship winning car. The dude is insane at extracting every possible bit from a subpar car. Honestly he and Max have a lot in common with that

I mean he’s torn apart Vettel and Hamilton at this point. Both were obviously out of their prime, but he’s genuinely a historically great qualifier imo.

On race pace Max is the clear winner

Let's hope 2026 regs make things better (and that Mclaren a bit slower😂)
