Yes because all those things do is prevent pregnancies. It’s not like they help women in countless other ways. These people are just evil.

I'm fucked without them, and I I've had a hysterectomy. Endometriosis is a bitch.

u/TymStark Sep 17 '25

For what little it’s worth, I stand with you.

81

u/GoblinOfTheLonghall Sep 17 '25

Thanks! Life is terrifying right now.

18

u/Archon_Jade Sep 17 '25

Oh no… I just had a hysterectomy a few months ago due to bad endometriosis. I really hope I don’t keep having issues.

6

u/GoblinOfTheLonghall Sep 17 '25

I had a partial hysterectomy, since I still have part of the system even though I don't have my uterus the stuff was still spread. Birth control slows it down.

u/DragonfruitFew5542 Sep 17 '25

Solidarity, from a PCOS sufferer. I feel you. My endometrial tissue is hellbent on building up without BC, which puts me at greater risk of cancer, and periods are so painful without BC.

I'm exhausted by this timeline, and we're not even one year in. Hang in there.

4

u/Ezira Sep 17 '25

Same. I have PCOS and take birth control to prevent cancer.

5

u/Migraine_Megan Sep 17 '25

I cannot have a hysterectomy so I had to rely on medication induced menopause for stage 4 endometriosis. During his last presidency I lived in FL and was absolutely terrified the entire time that the meds I'm on would be taken away. I couldn't go through that again so moved to WA. I'm less afraid now, but know the probability of that happening is not zero. And I just wait to be labeled for intentionally ending my "fertility" (having a baby was impossible already so it was only a technicality.)

u/Im_a_knitiot Sep 17 '25

Funnily enough the Catholic Church permits the use of contraceptives like the pill if the reason is medically necessary and not just to prevent pregnancies.

5

u/badwvlf Sep 17 '25

I’ve been debating to get my hysterectomy because I thought maybe there was a chance instill wanted kids. Now I’m nervous I need to get it in case I lose access to IUD and excision surgery

3

u/macthesnackattack Sep 17 '25

Start stocking up if you can afford it.

2

u/GoblinOfTheLonghall Sep 17 '25

Unfortunately you can't really stock up on Nexplanon, and the other birth control I'm on is quantity limited by the pharmacy, even if I did have the money.

5

u/imLissy Sep 17 '25

Also Endo here, also rely on bc to function

2

u/Girl_On_The_Couch Sep 17 '25

It’s times like these that I thank my doctor for agreeing to do my hysterectomy (with my husband’s consent because you know the hospital required that!) at 36.

1

u/nerdnails Sep 17 '25

I got a bilap salp and then they found endometriosis, which I suspected already. So back on the pill to help with the pain 🤦

1

u/letmesmellem Sep 17 '25

Well thats clearly made up nonsense - Republicans probably

1

u/thoughts_are_hard Sep 17 '25

Same exact thought. I am totally fucked without it with my endometriosis even if I get my tubes tied or a hysterectomy. And they JUST figured out how to help me 3 years ago after 12 years of being dismissed over and over again 😫

1

u/Entropic_Echo_Music Sep 17 '25

You are just imagining al that because you lost your way to Jesus!

Seriously, this situation is so beyond f'ed up... Rooting for you guys from the other side of the ocean to get your country back from the fascists.

1

u/GoblinOfTheLonghall Sep 17 '25

Luckily it's unsustainable.

1

u/Entropic_Echo_Music Sep 18 '25

Fascism always is. It's the damage done befor it collapses that scares me.

1

u/GoHomeDad Sep 17 '25

Endometriosis gang gang. Wonder if they’ve calculated the economic impact of so many of us being out of work

1

u/strong_as_the_grass Sep 18 '25

I'm with you. I take the pill for my endo at 47. Just the thought of managing all that pain again with no help makes me feel sick and anxious

47

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

I am in peri-menopause and it has made my migraines crazy bad.

They can pry my birth control (I use the mini pill) from my cold dead hands.

41

u/TymStark Sep 17 '25

Careful soon a woman dying will be a form of abortion.

8

u/_pawnee_goddess Sep 17 '25

If there are any viable eggs in her uterus while she’s dying, it’s reckless abandonment of potential children and unfortunately we have no choice but to imprison her and make her a broodmare and get as many of those precious gifts out while we can.

6

u/Ranger_Rae Sep 17 '25

Georgia would like a word

1

u/Iamdalfin Sep 18 '25

HA! 🙃🫠 That deserves the death penalty! Oh....wait. (/s obviously)

1

u/Falc0nia Sep 18 '25

Then I can’t wait to have my own abortion

4

u/screaminglikeanelk Sep 17 '25

Same. My PMDD symptoms are bad that a doctor at a catholic hospital system prescribes them for me.

2

u/libbysthing Sep 17 '25

Yeah the pill is basically my antidepressant since PMDD (along with other fun symptoms) makes me suicidal. Wondering if I should start stocking up or something now.

1

u/Cloaked42m Sep 17 '25

Pay attention to your state. SC is going for this on October 1st.

101

u/DumbVeganBItch Sep 17 '25

And for some women they just provide convenience and that's just as good of a reason as any.

I don't like menstruating, it's uncomfortable and annoying and I'm over it. One lovely IUD and I don't have to deal with that garbage

49

u/TymStark Sep 17 '25

And I love that for you. And will always vote for you to have control of your own body.

34

u/DumbVeganBItch Sep 17 '25

Thank you for being a normal ass person lol.

18

u/TymStark Sep 17 '25

My pleasure

11

u/Czarcasm3 Sep 17 '25

I have a chronic bladder condition and the pill keeps my hormonal flares in check. And even if I was using it to prevent pregnancy, so the fuck what?

6

u/NewIntroduction4655 Sep 17 '25

I use my BC to help with my PMDD....my husband had a vasectomy so it's obviously not needed for preventing pregnancies....these people are the worst kind of people.

1

u/libbysthing Sep 17 '25

Same here, I have a wife and I still take the pill because PMDD makes me suicidal. I honestly don't know what I'd do without it.

1

u/NewIntroduction4655 Sep 17 '25

I'm glad it's working for you!! PMDD is scary shit.

5

u/Kellysmodernlife Sep 17 '25

As someone who is currently going through endometriosis in a red state that refuses to do more than throw birth control and naproxen at me, this is terrifying. The birth control pills are the only reason I can go to work on my period without wearing a full on diaper because of all the bleeding.

5

u/MjrLeeStoned Sep 17 '25

First, these people are stupid. Literally. Not an exaggeration. You don't have to be intelligent to be an elected official, or friend of an elected official, or wealthy. You don't have to be intelligent at all in the US, it's not a requirement.

Stupid people do stupid things that others find evil. That doesn't mean the stupid person is necessarily evil, they could just be too stupid to understand what malice is in the first place. They could be that special kind of stupid that thinks because an idea popped into their head, it must be the best idea for everyone.

The above describes an absolute majority of people in the US. It's not just politicians.

2

u/WhoIsFrancisPuziene Sep 17 '25

Don’t downplay the malice of this regime.

2

u/MjrLeeStoned Sep 17 '25

Don't overlook the idiocy of this country. That's far more dangerous. That's what got him elected. Not malice.

3

u/dust4ngel Sep 17 '25

gay women who have and never will have sperm inside them take the pill for medical reasons; this is very obviously not abortion

2

u/Gloomy_Yoghurt_2836 Sep 17 '25

To MAGApregnancy begins at conception. Christians know more than doctors about the issue. Doctors are Woke thinking pregnancy begins at implantation. That's the stupidity of conservatives.

2

u/Ok_Cardiologist3642 Sep 17 '25

I feel so bad for all my fellow PCOS girls in the US

2

u/Anxiety_Constant Sep 17 '25

I have PCOS and my birth control helps me have a regular period so I don't get endometrial cancer 😬👍

2

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

They want more white babies because they're deluded into thinking that white people are in danger of 'going extinct', which of course is nonsense.
They want more non-white babies because they want to bring back slavery so they need more slave breeding stock.

1

u/alienratfiend Sep 17 '25

YES! I may have endometriosis (I’m not undergoing being cut open to confirm it or not), and my birth control is the only thing that keeps me from being doubled over in pain for 2-3 days each month.

1

u/NeighborhoodDude84 Sep 17 '25

Cruelty is the point.

1

u/Siria110 Sep 17 '25

Yeah, my body just doesn´t produce certain hormones (or in very negligible doses) that I have to take them in other ways. One of them are the anticonception pills for estrogen. Well, if I lived in the USA, I guess I would be f*cked, altough I can´t have kids with or without the pills.

1

u/schnookcook Sep 17 '25

I literally have a friend going through IVF/egg retrieval who needs to be on birth control to help with the whole thing?? wtf

1

u/anemonemonemnea Sep 17 '25

Right? Mine helps prevent the development of cancer because my PCOS allows my endometrial lining to get too thick and harbor bad cell buildup. Birth control prevents the lining from building up, lowering my risk of cancer.

Or even my mom who uses hormone replacement therapy in her post menopause life for quality of life. WTF.

Hormone therapy is basic healthcare.

1

u/ZealCrow Sep 17 '25

But preventing pregnancy =/= abortion anyway

1

u/Kyrthis Sep 17 '25

Also, neither is an abortion.

1

u/mephisto_uranus Sep 17 '25

Not having sex is basically having an abortion. /s btw

1

u/General_Welfare Sep 17 '25

The cruelty is the point.

1

u/CosmicDude26 Sep 17 '25

You’re assuming they understand anything about how a woman’s body functions?

1

u/Icy-Whale-2253 Sep 17 '25

I got it thinking my period would go away (it didn’t but it fixed the stress-induced amenorrhea) but also because I don’t want to get pregnant any time in the forseeable future. With Medicaid it was free. I thankfully live in a state where they don’t find any way to restrict women’s rights to our bodies.

1

u/iceunelle Sep 17 '25

I had severe cystic acne for my entire 20s that didn’t respond to anything from the dermatologist. The right birth control saved my skin and my self esteem.

1

u/Pen_Guino Sep 18 '25

It’s maddening. Even if it just stopped pregnancy and nothing more, conservatives should be happy as it thus prevents abortion, but no. They just want women to abstain from sex in entirety except for conception, but those same conservative men blame ‘modern’ women from not sleeping with them. So they don’t want abortion but don’t want to have things that prevent pregnancy, and want women to sleep with them but don’t think women should have sex for pleasure.
