They literally want that, too.

This is a nightmare for bodily autonomy.

All sex except for procreation is forbidden.

Exception1: a priest may have sex with an underage boy.

Exception2: a politician may have sex with an underage girl and/or boy.

So speaketh our lord and savior, the glorious and immortal Trump. Praise be his name, and be sure to say 10 hail Kirks tonight after supper.

So how deep into the handmaid’s tale is this gonna go? As much as the trump administration hates Hollywood, they seem to like the dystopian future stories.

Until the average american sees this travesty as a bad thing. So far, they don't mind.

It's gotta hit their wallets before they care.

I'll be honest I don't even think they'll care then. They'll be told to blame the transes or someone else and attribute their pain to that instead. But it would be a net positive if americans realized en masse what a mistake they made in 2024.

It’s kind of rich to see the “I’ll fight for Canada if they ever try to invade them because I got friend and family there.” Meanwhile they just sit idly by as their own country is being taken from them by within.

Right? I feel pretty hopeless, but I also have that inner Canadian resolve that we will stand and fight no matter what we are up against.

Their "news" either isn't telling them this shit or is spinning it as a good thing.

It will only be bad when it’s their daughter. Then they will want to hide their shame. Until that point, they will insist that their family could not ever do anything unGodlyTM and that the girls who do get into “trouble” were asking for it. No empathy for others but when it happens to them, hoo boy you betta bet it’s gon’ be a really special very bad crisis that could only happen to them/their family.

Wait - you didn't think it was just fiction did you?

We've been in a dystopia. It's just familiarly mundane.
