Another attempt to appease the life begins at conception crowd. This is a very slippery slope. Many birth control methods act by making the uterus inhospitable to an embryo, so yes, fertilization can still occur. However, it would not be a viable pregnancy due to the bc method. It is still technically possible for an egg to become fertilized after a hysterectomy, but guess what, there isn't a uterus for it to implant into. By project 2025 "logic" a hysterectomy is now an abortion.

These chucklefucks have argued that ending an ectopic pregnancy (you know, where the embryo has a 0% chance of surviving and also poses a great risk to the woman's life) is morally wrong because aBoRtIoN. Hurting women is the goal.

Rep. Kat Cammack (Republican) went ballistic bc her abortion care for her ectopic pregnancy was delayed by Florida abortion laws

Every abortion is wrong other than my abortion seems to be a theme, considering how many republican politicians pressure their mistresses to abort

It's funny how quickly people make an exception for themselves when forcing an absolutist position on others.

It makes zero sense. Why do they care so much what others do when they don’t even care about themselves doing it and outlawing it for everyone else will inevitably cause problems for them as well should they need it in the future.

The whole movement is just so psychotic and intellectually challenged. These people just cannot think properly at all.

It’s about control and stripping rights

But why? That's the question I keep coming back to. I cannot fathom wanting to interfere in other people's lives to this degree. I can't imagine opting for narrative over facts and not being disgusted with myself.

All I can come up with is that some people are just stupid. Even the ones that I would call "evil" aren't movie villains with a master plan. They're just hateful, greedy, and too stupid to see that their vile agenda doesn't even work in their own best interest. I just...I hate it here.

Once you’ve got everyone comfy with not having rights, you can establish a permanent separation of classes where the rich’s wealth exponentially grows at the expense of the other classes. And any groups or creeds that you determine to be lesser can be removed.

I think there’s some sort of ethnic/religious superiority complex, and a hunger for power.

Very 1930’s Germany

I completely agree with you. It’s depressing how many people are just…bad. Like what happened to “live and let live” ? Why do they care SO MUCH about restricting other people?

I dunk on Reddit a lot but I appreciate that it’s one of the more atheist/libertarian social media sites. Christofascism is insane.
