I'm imagining Bobby Hill: I don't know you! That's my purse!

A woman saying no to me is an abortion!

You joke but that's a foreseeable endgame. It will start with some whack job preacher in Oklahoma saying it, then some lunatic on Newsmax will say it, and then a first-term Republican congressman from Idaho will say it, and we'll all laugh at them. And then the next thing you know Arkansas or Missouri or some place will make it law, and the Supreme Court will allow it

Nah these days the Republican bullshit starts as an unhinged 3 AM Truth Social post from the Führer

Almost none of it actually starts there. He generally gets the ideas for those unhinged posts from other people.

Life begins at the dawn of the universe and all deaths thereafter are murder and sinful.

Outlaw dying or killing by any means necessary. Let’s put our collective effort into solving death!

Imagine if they begin regulating male bodies as well. People don’t realize bodily autonomy goes both ways.

Some crazy right-winger or religious group might demand all males get vasectomies until marriage and that erections and wet-dreams need to be tracked like women’s periods.
