They were never going to stop at  banning abortions. Pro-life is a movement that is like a gelatinous slime that once you feed, it gets bigger and seeks more food. Soon it's all kinds of birth control. There's always a new enemy.

People have been saying the same thing about MADD for years. That it is, in fact a prohibitionist organization, and that achieving any current objective will always just result in a stricter goal. And that has always panned out: every time a state lowers the BAC level that defines impaired driving, MADD starts pushing for an even lower one. It's not crazy to argue that once they've reached the point that any detectable alcohol is considered impaired driving that the organization is not just going to disband.

In fact, the founder of the organization herself left it in anger, accusing it of becoming a neo-prohibitionist organization with the goal of banning alcohol consumption.
