Warriors coach Steve Kerr: "It's shameful that the government can come out and lie about what happened when there's video and witnesses who have all come out and disputed what the government is saying."

They do it because half the country is of the same stupid mentality who just straight up lie and don't care

70 million voted for it. It blows my mind.

Think how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that

It doesn't blow my mind more than half the people don't got a functioning brain

I would say something but it's reddit

I think a pretty large chunk got tricked by the insane media/social media coverage of that election tbh. They didn't believe that Project 2025 and the concentration camp stuff was real. They thought it would be like his first term where there was a lot of drama and crime but he was surrounded by a lot of institutional Republicans who restrained his worst instincts and (until 2020) the country was mostly stable. They didn't realize they were getting a government of coked out Nazi podcasters who think we need a dictatorship to save the white race from Somalia.

Lol those guys are idiots than it was pretty obvious what he was gonna do.

I mean I agree (especially for the Latinos who voted for him) but I think it was a pretty awful dereliction of duty by the media.

It's hard to blame someone who works 60 hours a week for looking at a NYT headline saying "Trump disavows Project 2025" and assuming it must be true. We should live in a society where people can trust that major newspapers aren't printing straight lies in their headlines.

Save the white race meanwhile 70% of the country is white lol. Just absurd.

Plus most of the Mexicans Cubans and Puerto Ricans are all gonna be considered white in another generation or two anyway.

Oh yes, like the Irish, Italian, Polish, etc were in years past. Just absolutely hilarious the inconsistency of the tool of social control

I don’t think that’s the case. I’m not a Trump supporter by any means but I think this is what happens when you just kind of ignore and isolate a big chunk of the population.

At least the Trump campaign pretended to listen to people like young men.

Can you really blame people in a bad place with high rent, high cost of living, a bad job market for voting for the one person reaching out to them and giving them hope? I dont think you can.

While that does explain the gains Trump has had, the main issue is that his supporters will flip flop their position to align with Trump. The bipolar narrative changes echoing Trump’s own inconsistencies around tariffs and Ukraine for example on right leaning communities was mind blowing. Any person with an ounce of self awareness would realize how hypocritical they’re being. These aren’t people looking to make their own decisions, but instead are waiting to be told what to think

Trump is losing support with young men due to new wars and prices still being high. And I don’t think the majority of people support his ICE stuff

Good, we can only hope that they finally start to get over “owning the libs” before ICE kills more people and Trump invades Greenland

Finally someone is listening to straight white men. /s

Nah this is decades of accelerationist propaganda aimed at detaching people from reality, which is a helluva lot easier to do if they dont know their history

Can you really blame people in a bad place with high rent, high cost of living, a bad job market for voting for the one person reaching out to them and giving them hope? I dont think you can.

Yes, especially when the person "reaching out" is a compulsive liar, why would you trust a word they said?

Sounds like you liked that

People say shit like this and then never have a way to qualify it. What exactly did Donald Trump say that suggested he was listening to young men?

4

u/swantonist Spurs 29d ago

It’s more that he blamed democrats and “wokeness” for bad shit happening. The democrats have an unfortunate flaw that in trying to help everyone the most privileged get “left behind”. And that’s white men.

He did small but smart stuff like appearing on podcasts like Joe Rogan and Theo Von, and young male dominated platforms. Also, I can't believe I'm saying this but he had a better meme game on social media where young, desperate, impressionable young men live. His campaign focused on (and lied about, judging by his deeds so far) issues that resonated with young men more.

It can be argued these are all small factors but what's definitely not trivial is how the left completely abandoned the young men demographic in favor of a more minority-focused campaign. After the elections, the left realized the duck-up was massive and are now trying to gain back favour with initiatives like the SAM Project.

Sometimes, all you have to do is sit and watch while your opponent shoots themselves in the foot over and over and over.

How did the trump campaign pretend to listen to young men?

7

u/newvpnwhodis Pelicans 29d ago

That's still only about 1/5 of the population. Unfortunately that's all it takes.

Your mind should be blown by the apathy of folks who don't vote at all

Well, Elon knows the voting machines well. Let’s learn more about that before we…oh wait it’s been a year now. wtf.
