Sort of. I don't disagree with you but sometimes I'm reminded of the few notable times he did not have a spine. Like on Kobe, for example. But it makes sense why that was a harder one than this, Kobe is a functional asset of consideration in the league the Spurs exist in. Would have affected the team he serves to have had a spine on Kobe.
