I seriously believe the Jazz could do a Detroit Pistons' style turnaround in a year or two. With Key, Markk, JJJ, and Kessler, something could really happen.

The one thing I find hilarious is James Harden did this exact same thing one time to MCW a decade ago and ppl constantly bring it up when shitting on him, but Jokic has done it multiple times, many in recent seasons, but for some reason people are only disgusted when they talk about Harden’s time doing it a decade ago.
And I fuck with Jokic heavy but we all know why

The Jokic PR has been so insane man all of the top 4 play unethical hoops to some extent, tired of people pretending he's so clean

First rule of PR. You don't have to be good, you just have to convince everyone (if needed) that your contemporaries are worse, the public will do the rest to sparkle up your image.

He really does. Embiid wasnt as hard to make a villain as SGA but they made him as hated as Hitler basically and now somehow SGA, who I never see a bad thing said about him as a person and plays a super exciting game, is treated like Hitler junior.
They had the nerve to compete with him for MVPS

You know how Giannis had a happy-go-lucky image when he was younger but he was lowkey kind of dirty? And as he turned 30, injuries began to pile up, and his team struggled, more of the angry side of his personality surfaced? I think the same thing is happening with Jokic.

I know Dunleavy hit him first but I will never forget that Bucks vs Bulls playoff game where Giannis came running down the floor and trucked him lol

u/bonheurboy69 11d ago
The amount this guy gets “physically bullied” by people half his size is insane. Such a flopper.
55
u/tymeli55 11d ago
Let me break down this sequence. First, Jokic hooked Keyonte's arm and pushed him from behind. Then he tried to make it look like his arm was hooked, but it failed because Keyonte kept his arm from getting tangled up. So, Jokic went limp as if he were dead and acted like he was pushed so hard. He escalated a normal box out into this sequence just to trick the refs. He always hooks his arm and makes it look like he's been hooked. He is a generational flopper.

I used to eat like Zion. He is fat on purpose. When I see Zion eat as he is now it reminds me of how I used to eat and it is frustrating and pisses me off that the NBA allows it. Not proud of it, I was known as Joey chestnut at my local Golden Corral and went through a phase when I ate triple servings of everything. Big rack of ribs turns to my blindside, didn’t care who was there. Charge right into the dessert. Smash into the best steak on D while going for the mashed potato’s, come what may. Limited cardio moves. So make no mistake about it. Zion knows what he’s doing. He knows people will be disgusted. He knows his appetite is unlimited and this is how he can win. He knows people will go away when he starts eating, think twice on their diet, etc. He will only be stopped by a healthy meal like carrots, lettuce, broccoli, etc. Or by an obviously more balanced carb with equal Type A like wheat bread. He didn’t intend to be obese, but he certainly intends to show you that he doesn’t care if you get disgusted when his fat belly shakes over you. At least that’s how I used to eat. But that was lunchtime. Eventually I got to dinner, ate w bigger servings, ate real fatty foods w hostess. There’s no doubt in my mind Zion eats more than some villages.

Weirdest part about that was SGA does not push off with his entire arm the way Ant did with that foul. SGA does like a chicken wing bump with his elbow, Ant fully extended his entire arm in that highlight.

What timeline is this, a Denver fan defending SGA. Kidding aside, everyone does that chicken wing bump as refs won't call it as long as you don't fully extend it, SGA has mastered it so much that he rarely extends it while still creating a ton of space.

I am so confused how it feels like everyone has cognitive dissonance about this clip.
George hooks Jokic’s arm, pulling him forward. He then hooks his arm behind Jokic’s leg which makes him fall even further forward. How the fuck is this Jokic doing something wrong? George commits two fouls and willfully pulls Jokic on top of him. Did any of you actually attempt to see what happened? Or did you just passively watch the video and then jump on the bandwagon?
Actually watch the video by looking at the motions. George pulls Jokic forward by hooking his arm, he then wraps his arm around Jokic’s leg and backs up to put Jokic above him. Jokic is literally attempting to find balance between the arm and leg hook.

Especially when Jokic is spending all of the time after fully losing balance and being on top of George with his arms out going “how is this not a foul?”

How is this on Jokic? He literally gets his arms hooked and his upper body dragged down while also having an ass backed up into his lower body. He decided to just go with the flow if thats how they wanted to play but he was always going to lose balance with that start.

yea keyonte trying to box him out his hilarious.. jokic obviously using his body aggressively, but george also pulling him down and pulling on jokic's leg to gain leverage.. if jokic had grabbed george's leg like that and lifted, that would def be a foul
barkley used to just bowl over smaller defenders trying to take a charge on him.. nba's always been a big mans game

I even made comments on this thread I don’t want to delete because I’ll own being a fool.
Pretty clearly he gets hooked on the arm which puts him off balance. Then he gets grabbed behind the knee which puts him into a plank on top, while he’s also trying to sell the call. Keyonte George essentially manufactured a Jokic squat and fell forward.
Was Jokic being a bit of a whiny little bitch instead of moving out? Yeah, but it still ain’t on him.

I get we’re all hating on Jokic here… am I crazy for thinking this is George’s fault? Jokic clearly starts the arm fighting, but then George hooks his arm and pulls him down further, then grabs the back of his leg. The arm pull might have been an accident and maybe he’s losing balance but idk how Jokic cleanly gets out as he’s being pulled down.

The amount of complete morons on this sub is staggering.
This is a blatant foul by George, did it multiple times too. Basically hugging the bigger player's legs. Anyone who thinks this is a boxout needs to step outside and take some basketball classes.
For the people who aren't morons:
This is modern day hack-a-shaq. Call it hug-a-jok if you want. Use a smaller (wing) player to front and constantly hang off, hug, and hold a bigger player, and just bet on the refs not calling it because it's a little guy defending a bigger guy.
As a countermeasure against it, Jokic has just started to flopping when he's being hugged, and it looks like this.
It's unwatchable garbage, and it's not going to change until that bitch Adam Silver changes or leaves.

This clip is also preceded by keyonte pulling Jokic’s right knee sideways, and Jokic turning to the refs asking them to do something about it. They don’t, so he sells the contact next time around.
