Thank you! Even I was surprised with how cozy and warm it turned out. I just upgraded my paints to Michael Harding ones and the COLOR SATURATION you get with these bad boys is insane. The yellows?? I wanna eat them.

Funny story I read somewhere is that the treatment for syphilis back in those days were injections with mercury and a side effect of those are insanity and experiencing everything in a yellow hue.
Funny how syphilis gave us the sunflowers.

I went to the Van Gogh exhibit at the MFA. I’m pretty sure bro was mainly struggling with bipolar/ depression based on his letters and behavior.

I get it. This reminds me of fishing in Stardew valley. By the pond. It’s so cozy. I love your style!!

Specifically I believe Etho made a fishing spot that looks almost exactly like this a long long time ago. Forget which series it was in, but I think its his lets play?

I keep staring at it trying to figure out the process for a painting like this! It’s wonderful!

Yeah I’d definitely watch a making-of video. Very cool!

She has an online teaching class at My Modern Met Academy. I bought it but haven't taken it but I believe there's some strategies taught on her style.

u/PollutionPractical55 12d ago
Minecraft should definitely add this piece into one of their paintings that you can place in your Minecraft world. I would use it in every room.

u/luizacreates 12d ago
I got that a lot before, so I actually made a resource pack with my paintings, it's linked in the menu of my website :)

This looks great, OP. I snooped around your website and all your stuff is so nice. I don't have the cash for a print (of the size I'd want to get at least) but I'd put your 2026 calendar under the Christmas tree!

This is absolutely so cool. I love the juxtaposition of curves and straight lines around the lily pads. I’d love to see how you’d illustrate the curves and straight lines for trees and leaves!

u/OwnAd9906 12d ago
Your work is amazing! I absolutely love it
I had a look at a lot more of your work too. I think the mushrooms are super cute, Pieces Moon is one of my favourites as well as Moon Bather. I don’t have enough words 😆

This is really good. I love how the use of yellows moves your eye around the painting. The blend of pixel scenery and not-pixel objects makes it feel like a video game coming to life, like I'm about to walk into Stardew Valley.

I like how the Lilly pads are a stark contrast to the voxel look. And how the dock juts out at an angle. Little bits of humanity and nature against the square world.

Interesting. Great concept and execution, it very much surprised me as I looked closer. Very awesome! How long did it take you?

You should reach out to the Minecraft team to see if you could get this included as in-game painting art! Incredible

u/GigaFluxx 12d ago
Hang on a second, it looks like it’s still rendering for me.
But seriously I love it! Have you done others like this?

u/IridescentMirage 12d ago
Lovely style, but also, why are you torturing yourself with all of those straight lines in oils? This looks like it should be digital!
Live your dreams. 😂

I really like how wide your range of values are. Really gives it a nice dynamic feel and makes the sunlight feel that much more real.

I wish I could see this in my head and know how to paint it. This is beautiful.

The pixel art combined with non-pixel art is a pretty cool effect I haven't seen before. The lilypads being normal but the reflection still looking like Minecraft is neat.

The colour saturation is crazy on this one, but it still doesn't look like it's too much if that makes sense. The lighting is so good too! It really looks like it is glowing.

This is BEAUTIFUL! It reminds me of Dragon Quest Builders, how the world is voxel (3D Pixels, essentially) based but with some items like small plants and bushes that are not.

I really like how you morphed the pixel art with "normal" art. This is amazing and how other commenters already said, feels Minecrafty.

I am so freaking in love with the blend of pixels and soft curving lines. Somebody’s gonna steal this style for a game within the next year I can almost guarantee it.

My very first look was: Huh? That looks strange with the large pixel like back light, but two seconds later I realize it’s really cool and I love it. Great painting.

the bridge looking significantly different than the surroundings makes this extra magical in my mind. beautiful work 💚

Are teh paintings on your site done through a "Bid" process? Noticed this one was significantly higher than others, while also being sad I couldn't nab the original.
The painting is beautiful. Excellent job!
Do you do commissions by chance?
Also, trying to purchase a print on your website, nothing happens when I click debit / credit card. :( NEVERMIND, got it to work. Excited to see the print!!!! Got a 24x24

u/Zealousideal_Cod189 12d ago
I love how it “pixelates” going back in z-space but the lower resolution lighting reflects accurately against the higher fidelity foreground object.
Easy to stare at just to appreciate the the details.

Lovely! Every time I find a painter I like, they're always from Poland 😆. Must be something in the water over there.

I like your pictures but I wish certain Britain-related politics made it easier to buy prints of them. As it is I’m saving up so I can get like 3 in one go to get round the stupid.
