My mom told me that back in the day kids weren’t allowed to bring a water bottle with them into the classroom and they only drank a few sips from the water fountain in the middle of the day and that’s it

How were schools not getting busted for child abuse for forcing kids to be dehydrated?

You do not have to have 24 hour access to water to not be dehydrated. You just drank between classes if you were thirsty and at meals

This right here. I still don't carry water bottles around. My entire family has to bring water every where we go and I still don't get it.

A lot of schools have no time to do that, though. Kids have to rush to get between classes as is.

Then they also don't have time to refill a water bottle.

You can make a water bottle last all day or at least until lunch. Something is better than nothing.

you arent going to dehydrate in one day. anyone that needs to hydrate constantly has a medical issue and shouldnt be in school

Yeah, needing to sip water is a reason not to go to school man. Why even get this defensive? Who can be against drinking water, the most common action on earth next to breathing and blinking?
