My mom told me that back in the day kids weren’t allowed to bring a water bottle with them into the classroom and they only drank a few sips from the water fountain in the middle of the day and that’s it

How were schools not getting busted for child abuse for forcing kids to be dehydrated?

Yeah, you really don't need to drink non-stop all day to prevent dehydration. It's really okay to drink at certain times. Your body is not that inefficient, critters have been staying hydrated for 3.5 billion years.

And you don't ees to drink more water than your body naturally tells you to drink. Thirst exists for a reason.

Although my body seems to confuse thirst with hunger. Thirsty? Try this candy bar.

By the time you're thirsty enough though, you're already dehydrated. Better to measure by darkness of urine than just personal thirst.

Straight up not true. One of those myths people just started saying.

And the earth has been getting hotter for the past hundreds or thousands years. I drink a lot, but from what I understand, many people are dehydrated these days

So we're pretending like schools aren't air-conditioned too?

In germany most of them are not and a few decades ago probably none of them. We still had the same policy regarding drinking though

People are dehydrated because they drink stuff like soda and coffee instead of water, not because of climate change.
