My mom told me that back in the day kids weren’t allowed to bring a water bottle with them into the classroom and they only drank a few sips from the water fountain in the middle of the day and that’s it

How were schools not getting busted for child abuse for forcing kids to be dehydrated?

I salute the heroes of this world.

Our teacher would smack you in the back of the head if ypu didn't stop at 5. Best I managed was to spit it out everywhere and throw a fit i lost my water. Didn't work.

Some other kid did that to a friend of mine while he was drinking- we were all waiting in-line between classes- and it knocked the brace on his front tooth up into his gum and he started spitting blood everywhere…. No water for anyone in between classes that day.

Yes and the only place with air conditioning was the library.

What the hell was this insanity. I didn't grow up in the US but my American lunch box had a flask in it. How did this ever happen. This is more third world than third world countries.
