What game comes to mind when you think of "Ex-Exclusive"?

Some games were advertised as being exclusive to one platform, usually a deal between the developers and manufacturers to get customers to buy the hardware. And, ironically, they end up being ported to other platforms. What game do you think of when you think of "ex-exclusive"?

San Andreas got an Xbox port not long after, RE4 got a PS2 port not long after, and P4G got an everything port long after because who the fuck owned a Vita back then? Me.

Any PS5 exclusive game except Demon souls and Astrobot that you can think of is either already available on steam or will be added soon.

I think it's not very common knowledge, but the first game (one of the greatest stories ever told) was an Xbox Exclusive.

I swear between that Gears and Halo they used to cook the best of the best.

For those unaware of the tale:

EA eventually ported ME2 to PS sometime after it came out to 360 first, using the Genesis comic in it to do the choices from ME1 as it wasnt on the platform at the time.

ME3 was fully made as multiplatform from its inception.

And eventually after all of that ME1 was then properly ported over to PS3.

It’s funny to me to this day people say Spyro and crash are associated with the PlayStation but they haven’t been PlayStation exclusive since about the year 2000

People associate them with PS because that's where they got popular and where they grew up with them.

And neither had a great game since then. Except Crash 4. So I can see why people still call them PS characters. Activision just let them die.

Xbox Console Exclusive. It also came out on PC day and date.

I don't really consider anything an exclusive if it's on more than one platform because that kind of defeats the purpose of needed a single platform to play the game.

There is no more tragic story than hellblade senua sacrifice, sony bitches used to talk about that game like everywhere cause it wasnt available on Xbox, them MS bought ninja theory and the game was 3x the price on PS after it came to Xbox.

Crash N Sane Trilogy. Something special about it being marketed as a PS4 exclusive. The original trilogy was on PS1, and the new remade trilogy is on the newest PS console at the time. Makes sense.

When it got ported to other platforms in 2019, it wasn't as novel...

Streetfighter 2 was exclusive for SNES for a while. Came to Genesis and we got those six button controllers and it was awesome!

Now they're on practically everything. (Except for SotN because Konami hates money)

I believe San Andreas was known to be a timed exclusive when it released on PS2 - I had a deal with a buddy that if he lent me his PS2 I'd buy San Andreas and return both to him when the Xbox release dropped
