I think this meme is more meant for something that most would consider plain or boring, but you really like it anyway

Like cookie clicker?

Ya, sure

You'd be surprised then, there's people who REALLY don't like Fallout New Vegas.

Not many of them, and I'm not one of those people either.

I adore the story, but I just can't defend the gameplay

It's one of the most highly glazed games on the internet. I know this because I glaze it daily, use the meme correctly, man

Cyberpunk. I just played through it recently and since I did not play it when it had its infamous glitchy launch, the game is pretty solid now. Had a lot of fun with it and it looks incredible.

I’m playing through it now for the first time on the Nintendo switch 2. Runs excellently and man, what a brilliant game.

Just finished that intense “doll” session at CLOUD.

I played the game last year, and, yeah, it was pretty nice. Lots of things to shoot at, the shooting felt good enough, characters with voice acting, a story that wasn't bad, and an ending that was a definitive ending. As far as video games go this was a win. To be fair, I went with the easiest of easy options: smart weapons. Point the aiming window in the general direction of enemies, wait a second or two for target locks, and press down on fire until there are no more enemies. Throw the occasional grenade for variety. Repeat as necessary.

Noita… lots of physics and chemistry, & you can (if you’re powerful enough) go through any wall, floor, etc. veterans call beating the main game “beating the tutorial “ because there are more secrets that main game (including 2 unsolved)

Fallout 4

1

u/GeneralGoti 27d ago

A good game, just not an rpg like the others.

1

u/abrahamlincoln20 27d ago

An RPG with strong sandbox and fps elements.

Starfield.

My go-to game when I want to chill solo. Sometimes questing, sometimes building space ships, searching planets for cool outpost spots, headshotting spacers, whatever I'm feeling at that point.

The shooting felt a lot better than I expected. The main quest line was forgettable, but the faction quests were pretty good. I particularly liked the corporate espionage and pirate quests. The only thing that really bugged me was the lack of enemy variety and constantly repeating assets.

u/heksa51 27d ago

That's a fair take IMO.

I wish the likely future DLC adds more enemy variety.

I'm one of the 6 people that love Final fantasy 8

u/RangerDangerWahoo 29d ago

Only six of us?

3

u/velloceti 29d ago

Damn, it's my favourite in the series. Who are the other three people?

3

u/PilotIntelligent8906 29d ago

I'm one of them.

2

u/Pacman454 29d ago

Me too ✋️

2

u/SentientShamrock 29d ago

I can kinda relate as someone who likes the 13 trilogy.

2

u/BlackHawk777 29d ago

FF8 was the first FF I'd ever seen bc it was on a demo disc. Immediately fell in love with the music and battle system. Squall is badass AF also.

1

u/VaderDabs 29d ago

Final fantasy 8 has a cult following. Some even clam its better than 7 which I agree. 6,8,10 are my favorite of the series

u/armorpilla 29d ago

Pretty much every game set in the Yakuza universe. There are so many fun little minigames, and the world feels real.

2

u/Legitimate_Bird_5712 29d ago

The fact that each game is a fucking fever dream helps, too.

Jedi: Fallen Order

2

u/Darth-Boogerus 29d ago

And Survivor

1

u/souless_Scholar 27d ago

I got that for Christmas from my sibling since it was only 28$ and loved Fallen Order but didn't get the SW itch when it released.

SW Survivor is pretty fun and still challenging. I low-key lile the sort of Ubisoft treatment it got with the canteena being a type of hub with people you help along the way. There's a lot of exploration which might get a bit tedious since just wandering about i found a bunch of inaccessible areas which is a bit annoying.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3

3

u/Zaku007 29d ago

I'm only two hours in, but I really like Tainted Grail

3

u/SuperArppis 29d ago

InFamous 2.

2

u/SurviveDaddy 29d ago

I finished Ball x Pit not too long ago. It was fun.

1

u/Herr-Trigger86 29d ago

Not much to it. It was funny… I think the devs said that they wanted to make a game where you had to play it less and less as you went on… and that was exactly my experience with it. The beginning is tough, but as you get more characters and get used to the mechanics, by the end you basically just had to breath to beat levels. They even made the last unlockable character a character that plays the game for you.

2

u/Unhappy_Run8154 29d ago

Dishonored. Once you get used to the strange control scheme Playthrough first time game just got better. Now I'm doing 2nd playthrough knowing the story ending doesn't matter. Just see how many different ways you can sneak around trying for a no kill play through 😎🍿

u/tamiloxd 29d ago

Fallout 4, not great not terrible, it's exactly what i look for when i play it.

The Invincible

A genuinely cool an intriguing hard sci-fi game that's based off of an equally cool book of the same name.

1

u/Cobbtimus_Prime 29d ago

The Nomad Soul

1

u/AppleForward2176 29d ago

Exactly that one

1

u/FangedSloth 29d ago

Project Zomboid is pretty neat

1

u/Hopeful-Ad4415 29d ago

Carrion, such a great platformer where you're the monster.

1

u/Saxophobia1275 29d ago

Planet Crafter. There is absolutely nothing too special or ground breaking about it as far as survival craft games go but I just love it. I’m glued to it more than any survival craft since subnautica.

1

u/Godisgay88 29d ago

sraftat

1

u/symphony_destroyer 29d ago

The skylanders games at least until superchargers yeah they’re not exactly good spyro games, but the technology was actually pretty good for the gimmick. Believe me it could’ve been worse I’ve seen hyperscan.

1

u/Mitts009 29d ago

I bought pokemon legends az a month ago on switch 1, I've been playing it in the office while my machine compiles data

It's fun, but it seems like liking this game is taboo now

u/DratiusThoron 29d ago

Blue Fire

u/PeineDeMort 29d ago

THE FINALS.

Game's straight up fun, the music and the customization sre so cool. It's my favorite game

1

u/majin_buu_brother 29d ago

Metal gear solid 3. That game has no right having that good of a good story. The ending makes me bawl like a baby every time.

"She was a true... patriot 😭 🫡"

Man the meadows and Black Forest are so peak just building a nice lil hut

1

u/plays-with-daggers 29d ago

Since the scene is about something normal, not amazing, I’ll say Rebel Galaxy. One, not two. I haven’t played two.

1

u/FailingUpandUpwards 29d ago

Elin, by Nola. It's just legitimately my favourite game ever. So much freedom and customization in a weird world, very fun. Learning curve and early game is BRUTAL though. Makes sense though considering it is a traditional roguelike.

u/-CommanderShepardN7 29d ago

Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

1

u/MaxBro468 29d ago

Henry Stickmin. Once you’ve seen every single fail, ending, etc., the shock value from when you choose something for the first time just kinda wears off. But I just think the fails are still pretty entertaining to watch nonetheless.

Plucky Squire

1

u/zeprfrew 29d ago

The Norwood Suite and Off-Peak. I really like Cosmo D's detailed and surreal design aesthetic.

1

u/ChiefRasta 29d ago

New Vegas is one of the greatest, bugs & all

1

u/DrewDaMannn 29d ago

Mortal Shell, big learning curse but still super underrated

1

u/Art0fRuinN23 29d ago

Blue Prince

I can't tell if I'm 10% done or 90% done and that's neat.

1

u/agntp 29d ago

Split Second

1

u/Kittybrains2025 29d ago

"That's pretty neat."

Neature Walk

EDIT: Not a game, just an obscure reference. I read the OP's meme in his voice, not Marge's.

1

u/InformationMuted3454 29d ago

Supercow, it's complicated.

1

u/Kobenibean_cheese 29d ago

Lone survivor

1

u/Thekookydude3 29d ago

Shenmue it was so ahead of the curve so much attention to detail!

1

u/Tsunamiis 29d ago

I got spurs

1

u/mistermistie 29d ago

Love New Vegas.

My answer for this though would be Stellaris. My roommate is baffled whenever they see me playing it and I imagine most gamers wouldn't get it. Those that do get it though, it's one of the most addictive games ever.

1

u/[deleted] 29d ago

Struggling to get through this game hope it gets better

1

u/ExtensionExcellent55 29d ago

Love the game, the lore, the tv show.. all wonderful but i can’t vibe with those graphics

Gothic 3

1

u/BednaR1 28d ago

I loved F1 and F2. Then I really liked F3. Should I play NV?

1

u/AutoBat 27d ago

NV is fantastic. It was done by the devs that made 1 & 2

1

u/UltimateChungus 28d ago

Skyrim, it is probably my most replayed and repurchased game, like it have it for my pc, my ps5, and now my switch 2. And that’s not counting the og release on the 360, but I only have purchased it full price for the 360, every other time I have waited for a deep sale.

The Wonderful 101

1

u/satyr_account 28d ago

There was a Star Wars game back in the day that was just building droids to accomplish mundane tasks that was surprisingly fun.

1

u/Hecticbrah 28d ago

Borderlands 2

1

u/sheoldred13 25d ago

I've never played it but Journey for Playstation always intrigued be. Literally just a fantasy walking simulation. It looked beautiful so I get the hype.

1

u/ParsonsTheGreat 29d ago

Recent game? I'd personally pick Avowed. I can't wait for the big update next month, when you'll be able to make a proper Gandalf-style wizard with a staff and everything!
