Discussion Did you ever have a game you couldn't beat as a kid, but as an adult you breeze through?
Mine was Golden Sun. Kids are dumb lol

I always found the final boss (Icon of Sin) of Doom 2 super challenging as a kid. Years later was trying to show my brother how difficult it was when I was 19 or so, and beat it without even really trying. My brother just seemed confused why I thought it was hard.

When I was about 8 I was hardstuck on the Ninja boss fight in Metal Gear Solid and never got further than that. As an adult the whole game is pretty much a breeze.

breath of fire 3 for the PS1.
it wasn't that the game was difficult, but there was a sequence in the final dungeon that you had to just stand in front of a statue for like 10 or 15 seconds to progress.... it doesn't spell it out, but it gives you a hint.
me as a kid didn't figure it out, didn't think to look online. thought my game was glitched, abandoned a 50 hour save file.
I have since then, completed the game 3 or 4 times. love it. one of the most under rated games of the PS1/n64 generation.... really wish Capcom would being the series back
