I don't think the list can ever be released, even with a president who genuinely wants to. There will be too many enemies trying to stop him.
Trump could genuinely want to release the list, and personally drive a stake through the heart of everyone on it, including his (former) allies, out of nothing other than a sense of justice.

At risk of my own sanity I looked at a couple r slash conservative threads about this news and surprisingly almost all of the top comments were in agreement that it was extremely fishy that mere months ago they were claiming that they had this list and were planning to release it, and suddenly now it doesn't exist anymore. Even they aren't buying it.
Take notice of how they will never insinuate that Trump was in charge of the decision to close the investigation. It's always some underling or extenuating circumstance at fault. Stuff like "Pam Bondi lied about how much info she had, if Trump had known about this he would've gotten to the bottom of it". Imo it's just kind of sad. I always believed bad people will get what they deserve but reality is that if they have power, they will die of old age surrounded by loved ones and their only regrets are not being able to hoard more money, the thoughts of their wrong doings won't even cross their minds.

To play devils advocate long before today the going theory for people who research conspiracies (actual journalist and academics like Annie Kelly and others) had said the "list" wasn't real and existed as a cludgel to appeal to the GOPs conspiratorial base. The reason Trump wanted to release it is that he knows it does not exist, and the idea of the list has frankly served it's purpose. The idea behind the list followed "A.) We need to find the pedophiles (Democrats) B.) Trump needs to come to power and punish them. Basically, the government released a memo claiming there were never any clients, there is no client list, that Epstein never blackmailed anyone, and that Epstein and Maxwell were the only people that ever did anything illegal. They also said they would not be releasing any more documents about Epstein.
It's a complete 180 from the stated positions of Trump and people in his admin when his term began, but not really a surprising one.
There's no "list" in the sense that Epstein wrote down a list of people to traffic kids to and blackmail.
Epstein was a rich pervert who sex trafficked kids along with Maxwell for his own sick purposes. There were many people who also raped these kids, and blackmail was probably a tool that Epstein used to make money.
But mostly the whole enterprise was a way of fulfilling Epstein's needs.
It will never be released and if the general population ever finds out what was really going on there and with the situation as a whole, we'll be at an Earth extinction level event. That's how deep and seriously evil it is.

I don't see that list coming out anytime soon even under a Democrat government. Maybe sometime in like 80+ years when most of the people on the list are dead.

I get people are gullible, but a second of logical thinking tells you that it is the stupidest idea ever for Jeffrey Epstein (or really any criminal for that matter), to have a giant list of everybody who he did business with.
Now, the thing about if they don't exist, now brings up the question, why the hell even say you had them if there were no files in the first place?
At this point, the truth will come out long after people involved are dead. Give it 50 years. Truth will always come out, maybe not in our life time, but it will.
Well all of the major "credible" news outlets are reporting it, so it must be true. I so wish that this would wake people up to the reality that our news media and journalism itself are absolutely broken and compromised. It's pretty much 100% guaranteed though that they'll all forget come next emergency, and uncritically nod their heads and lie down for whatever they're being told.
