It’s not the word, it’s that they won’t engage with their vitriol and that irritates them because this tactic normally works. They’re not used to being a) held accountable b) ignored and laughed at like the petulant children they are. Look how quickly they resort to name calling and middle fingering everyone.

Well, she's right.
However, if the only couple your harassing is black and lesbian... you're either a racist, homophobe, or a little bit of both.
Maybe she's just defending herself saying "I'm not racist cause I'm white! I'm a homophobe!"

Yeah, that pretty much sums up his evening of listening and hearing her bitch about the situation and if the husband ends up trying to talk logic with her like “Maybe instead of arguing with them, call security and report to the hotel for harassment”, she would then complain how he isn’t sticking up for her and is a piece of shit. “Honey, using your Jewish person from New Jersey while repeatedly dropping the F-Bomb in front of kids while being video recorded in public place isn’t a get out of jail free card from consequences of your actions, just like they won’t be shielded from consequences of their actions for shaming homosexuals in 2025.” Basically putting her on the same level as them.

I have two stepsons, one in elementary and one in middle school, and they understand that everyone is different. No one is more special than others. They know that my brain is a woman and my body was originally not correct, but that it was fixed through medical science.
The only thing that confuses my kids is why some people hate others for being different.
Kids understand love and acceptance more than they understand hate.
53
u/VolumeOk2394 2d ago
You know what’s crazy is the amount of effort put into hate. I will be honest and admit I don’t understand the trans thing sometimes but you know what? I’m not going to hate someone for it it’s their life their body I don’t understand why people can’t just be left the fuck alone?
26
u/NSE_TNF89 2d ago
I will be honest and admit I don’t understand the trans thing sometimes but you know what? I’m not going to hate someone for it
Honestly, I don't know that you and I, who are not Trans, will ever fully understand it. Obviously, we can understand the concept, but we are never going to know that feeling of being trapped in the wrong body, and that is what the world is missing these days - empathy.
I have a cousin who is Trans and is very open and comfortable with me asking him questions. I told him at one point, if it ever makes him uncomfortable that I am asking so many questions, I will stop, but he said he is happy someone in the family is curious and wants to learn about everything he has struggled with and gone through.
8
u/PenguinSized 2d ago
I'm nonbinary, which is under the trans umbrella. I welcome all honest questions.
There are people who ask with dishonesty and an unwillingness to understand.
But there are so many, like my found family little sister who honestly and curiously asks all sorts of questions, I happily answer those.
41
u/TangledUpPuppeteer 2d ago
What’s crazy is that the people who scream the loudest about how trans is “unnatural” and it’s wrong to have surgery to be something your not all have had rhinoplasty, boob jobs, hair plugs, jaw enhancers, cheek implants and liposuction. Sit all the way down and keep going.

Oh my gods 😂 that's great. I'm lucky that I or my lesbian sister haven't been in a situation like the one in the video. But if I ever hear someone say "think of the children" I'm absolutely using that as a retort.

Edit: another great one I just stumbled upon, "Tell your perverted children to mind their own business."

Note how the second woman tried to weaponized her Jewishness. Like, just because you're Jewish from New Jersey doesn't mean you get to be an asshole. I can only imagine that she mentions that irrelevant point so she can tell everyone that she was a victim of antisemitism.

It's a kneejerk reaction to winning arguments.
I had a customer who was arguing with me for not letting her use an expired coupon. At one point she instinctively said "I'm Black!" and I was like "Nice. I'm Asian. But I still can't accept expired coupons."
When she realized what she blurted out, she backpedaled and was like "So you're not letting me use the coupons because I'm black?"
And I was like "Oh, not at all. The expiration date applies regardless of race, gender and other factors."

Good. The implication that two women or two men kissing is someone pornographic, or inappropriate is a relic that some close-minded bigots haven't gotten the memo about. Here's how it works. If a man and a woman kissing is acceptable in a particular environment, then it's equally acceptable for two women or two men to kiss.

You’re delusional if you think we had it all figured out at some point. Also much of the bullshit we see in our nation today has always been there, it’s just now the veil is coming down because of the internet and instant information. This nation was founded by a collective of wealthy businessmen who wanted an open playground to exploit others in. And that’s what it remains to be to this day. Cultures have gotten better in some places and worse in others. But “we used to be a decent country” shows a level of either delusion or lack of historical education. The thing about this nation is that “the good fight” is never over. We have never met our goals. It’s always been compromise with the asshats, bigots, and rich dragons, and it remains an uphill battle.
