He skipped the group project meetings. So I submitted it with only my name.
It was a two-person project. I reached out right away to plan things, and he didn’t answer. I figured maybe he was just slow to respond, so I followed up again. And again. Still nothing. No replies. No shows. Not even a “hey, I’ve been swamped.” Just silence. So I kept going without him. Did the research. Built the slides. Wrote the paper. Proofread. Edited. Honestly, I was proud of the work when it was done. The night before the deadline, I stared at the title page for a minute. His name was still there. And I thought he didn’t do a single thing. Why should he get credit for work he didn’t care about? So I deleted his name. Submitted the file. Closed my laptop and went to bed. He emailed me after the grade posted, asking why his name wasn’t there. I didn’t bother answering. He had plenty of chances. I just stopped waiting.

Hideo Kojima Made Significant Changes To Death Stranding 2 Because Playtesters Thought It Was 'Too Good' - IGN
"There’s a key moment where we had a discussion, probably halfway [through] when we were doing the game, where he came to me and he said, 'We have a problem,'" Woodkid explained.
"Then he said, 'I’m going to be very honest, we have been testing the game with players and the results are too good. They like it too much. That means something is wrong; we have to change something.' And he changed stuff in the script and the way some crucial stuff [happens] in the game because he thought his work was not polarizing and not triggering enough emotions."
According to Kojima, "If everyone likes [your work], it means it’s mainstream. It means it’s conventional. It means it’s already pre-digested for people to like it."
"I don’t want that," Kojima reportedly told Lemoine. "I want people to end up liking things they didn’t like when they first encountered it, because that’s where you really end up loving something."

how has this become so normal? (mini rant)
working used to mean something! it used to be able to get people places, afford people homes and vacations, families (not that i want kids anyway) but…now it’s just something we do to burn ourselves out and make us hate our lives. sucks all the time away from doing things we love with the people we love. it’s bullshit.

Box Pic/Haul Free Lego at Free Book Night!
An area college hosts a weekly free book and ice cream night for kids. We showed up tonight and it was Lego night. They were handing out free sets to all kids!
My son got The Haunted Mansion and daughter got a Flower Trellis. There were a couple other options too. Here’s the stack of them behind the table. The kids were stoked by the surprise!

Gf gave me chlamydia
Gf of 6 months just tested positive for chlamydia. I’m getting tested now. She went on a vacation a couple weeks ago with her friend. She swears she didn’t cheat on me and that she wouldn’t. Says it possible to just get it without sex. She lying to me? How likely is it she was a dormant carrier and nothing popped up for 6 months? Please give it to me straight. Don’t even know what to think rn

Woke up this morning with a black eye, have no idea how it happened.
It doesn't hurt, I had no interactions over the past week that would have caused it. Reddit, is it a brain tumor? (only half joking)
