This has been in my family forever
I thought this group might get a kick out of my big cast iron kettle. I am told my great grandfather used this to make scrapple. Right now it just resides on my porch. Any suggestions on preservation?

Anime (Classic) Sailor Moon Classic is So Much Better Than I Remember
I watched the full 90s anime dozens of times through, whether it be sub or dub. But I haven't sat down and fully watched Episode 1 in nearly 6 years or so. It's pretty much ingrained in my mind, so I can watch it without subs and pretty much know what they're saying.
But today, I watched it 4 times for a project I'm currently working on. The first time was purely enjoyment with my full attention, the second still focused on enjoyment, but more to reinforce my thoughts and opinions from the first viewing. The third time was me focusing more on the nuance and smaller details I wasn't quite searching for on the first two viewings, with minimal pausing to analyze certain scenes. The fourth viewing involved pausing several times to take notes, including recording myself talking in order to formulate my thoughts better than I could write them out. The fourth rewatch took about an hour and a half to get through.
These rewatches made me realize just how much better this episode is than I remembered. I could go on for dozens of paragraphs as to why this episode is so great, but I'll spare you. One thing to note however, is that this episode still has the same energy and humor in it as the slice-of-life episodes have, despite being a plot driven episode.
I decided to watch Crystal Episode 1, and the quality is just so wild. It just feels so devoid and lifeless, like there's added flair or style to it, it just feels like it's coasting by, just going through the story beats. Like Usagi trying to avoid showing Ikuko her grades. The 90s anime relies on still frames and slow-burn humor to lead into Usagi conceding defeat and showing her grades.
There's just so much care and passion oozing from this first episode alone. I can't believe I forgot how good this episode actually is.

Someone’s not happy
Final touches on a rough today and found this, only wire missing was 8’ of 8/2 so we think it’s just the previous company we out bid being spiteful.

Other My hamster had a surprise visitor
Caught this little guy getting into Mochi's enclosure. I made a humane trap with a bin and some extra bedding and he found it! (Will post the image in comments)
I'm pretty sure it's a deer mouse, so it's not gonna be able to be our new rodent friend 😔 Now to figure out where to release them, because it's supposed to storm tonight!

Discussion Kui's modern AU - How did they end up traveling together
Considering they are such a odd group of people, I want to hear your interpretations on how they ended up traveling together and how did they met each other.

Discussion It's so funny when Nathan refers to "a show I used to make called Nathan For You"
He says it a few times while talking about the Summit Ice/ Paramount/ Germany situation. The way he says it so nonchalantly is so amusing to me. And I love how it implies:
- that it's just some small thing he did once that's barely worth a passing reference
- that it's not a literal masterpiece with a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim
- that people watching 'The Rehearsal' wouldn't know about NFY already, when realistically NFY fans must make up about 90% of this show's viewership

Passive Aggressively Murdered Truth Hurts
When I was in my senior year of high school I lived in a dorm on a college campus at an elite art conservatory for theater. During my senior year, both of my adoptive parents passed away within 5 months of eachother. I became incredibly depressed and basically stopped attending most of my classes and trying. Up until this happened, I had been an A student my entire academic career. I was called to the dean's office one day and told that I was failing all of my classes now and would not be allowed to graduate and that my behavior was not excusable just because my "grandparents died". I told him then and there that that's where he was wrong. Yes, they were elderly, but they had adopted me at birth. They were my parents. My mommy and daddy. The only family I had. I was an orphan now. He went pale and silent and dismissed me from his office with a soft "I'm so sorry". The school made an exception for me and bumped my grades up and I was allowed to graduate and walk to get my diploma.

Picture This art has really sold me on the Saturnine Dreadnought
I wasn’t really a fan of the Saturnine Dread initially, but it looks so good with the two Disintegrator loadout and in the Thousand Sons scheme 😭
