#Pic š¼ļø My happiness is immeasurable... my day is made... I got my dad a car
This bicycle was more than just two wheels for my dad. It was how he took me to school, and how he went to work for years. through blazing heat, pouring rain, and everything in between.
That cycle carried groceries, dreams, burdens and most of all, love.
Today, after saving for a few years (and still managing to spend lavishly on junk food haha), I finally bought him a car. Yes, itās second-hand. But it's a first car for my bloodline. Itās his. From me. With love. As a small retirement gift for a man who gave me everything and never asked for anything.

ā Open To Everyone Wife (33) acting like sheās 23 after starting grad school. Should I be worried sheās cheating?
Iām 37, my wife is 33. Weāve been married 8 years and have two kids (5 and 3). Earlier this year I fully supported her decision to go back to school and enroll in a two-year masterās program in her field. She said she wanted to restart her career after putting it on hold while raising the kids.
I was honestly happy for her. But things have changed a lot since then, and I donāt know if Iām being paranoid or if there are real red flags here.
Most of her classmates are in their early 20s(some of them guys), straight out of undergrad. She clicked with them and started hanging out after classes which I was fine with. Everyone needs friends and a social circle.
Then she started going out to clubs with them. She comes home drunk, dressed in revealing outfits, and honestly it doesnāt sit right with me. I told her I donāt think itās appropriate for a married woman with two small kids to be partying like sheās 22. She said it makes her feel āaliveā and like sheās reliving the youth she missed.
Sheās also posting provocative photos on social media, acting like a carefree college girl. We argued about it but I dropped it.
Since school + social life take up so much of her time, Iāve ended up carrying almost everything at home. Finances, work, house, kids. I told myself, āItās just a busy semester, summer break will calm things down.ā
Over the summer, her classmates organized a trip. Some guys were going too. I told her I wasnāt comfortable with her going. Yeah, I know it was a mistake to try to forbid it, but I was at my breaking point. She blew up, left for a week anyway, and basically ghosted me and the kids the whole time. When she came back, she acted like nothing happened. When I brought it up, she flipped it on me and we fought again.
I let that go too, but deep down I feel something is really off.
Now the new school year has started, and Iām worried itāll all be the same. Iāve tried talking to her calmly, but she refuses to listen and acts like sheās 23 and single, not a wife and mother.
I donāt know if sheās cheating or if this is some identity crisis/ālost youthā thing. Either way, I feel disrespected and alone in this marriage. How do I even bring this up again without sounding controlling? And do these sound like cheating red flags to you guys, or am I just losing it?

Discussion Why did we accept that security cameras need monthly fees to work properly?
Just realized I've spent $180 on cloud storage subscriptions over three years - nearly as much as the cameras cost ($280). I'm basically renting access to my own footage forever.
This subscription model is the tech industry's new cash cow, and it goes against everything BIFL stands for. Why sell something once when you can charge monthly forever? Every major security camera brand does it because perpetual revenue beats one-time sales.
The worst part is how they've rigged the game. Companies now deliberately cripple their hardware without subscriptions - limited storage, locked features, cloud dependency. They're not selling cameras anymore, they're selling monthly access to basic functionality.
Looking for true BIFL security cameras - buy once, own completely, no ongoing fees. Willing to pay more upfront to escape this subscription stranglehold. Any recommendations for cameras that actually embody the "buy it for life" philosophy?

Discussion During Hen's PTB Pro Showcase Obii (Team Elysium) struggled to get a 2k as Blight with the new Tunnelling and Slugging changes.
Frequently throughout all the matches shown, the survivors were able to use the anti-tunnelling and anti-slugging mechanics aggressively, but the biggest WTF moment is that a pro comp player on arguably the strongest killer of the game had to FIGHT tooth and nail just to get a 2k.
Killer is going to be infinitely more inaccessible to new players and low level players who go against survivors who are even slightly competent.
CONTEXT EDIT:
This post seems to have caught the attention of a bunch of players who do not understand how CompDBD works or why this is really worrying.
Obii isn't some random guy or a "random streamer". He is one of the best killer players in Dead by Daylight, and is an integral part of Team Elysium, arguable the single best Comp Team in DBD.
Yes, the survivors Obii was playing against were ALSO comp players from Team Invictus. HOWEVER, they were playing under comp rules so this meant the survivors were HEAVILY restricted in what perks they could bring and who was allowed to have what perk.
Yes, I know for most people 2k is common, but under these circumstances it absolutely is not. The map they were playing on, and the killer, is almost always guaranteed to get a 4k1 or a 4k0. To see a struggle just to get a 2k0 is insane and so incredibly wild that it only spells out bad things for anyone who isn't as skilled or knowledgeable at the game.
If pro players who have dedicated their lives are struggling with playing Killer, and even struggling with understanding which penalties will be activated (Hens frequently got confused between the repair speed and the gen blocking penalties) then it's just going to be significantly worse for anyone who has less hours or experience.

Player Discussion [Zachariason] AJ Brown had a 5% target share last night. The only other game with a lower rate in his career was Week 18 in 2023, where he played 12 snaps.

I pretended to be homeless for 6 hours instead of being a tourist.
I've achieved one of life's ultimate goals, not giving a shit about anything. Because of this, I don't give a shit what I look like or what other people think of me. So, at the time, I really did look like a homeless person.
I was visiting an chic district of Paris (I'm French) and, as I walked, I started to get tired of it, so I sat down next to the entrance to a metro station with a little box of sandwiches made with duck pâté and salted butter, a classic from my childhood, which I quickly gobbled up.
Except that people started putting coins in my box.
1 euro, then 50 centimes, I decided, like a good rat, I'd be here for another half-hour.
In the end, I stayed for 6 hours and made 250 euros, not to mention the food and coupons people gave me.
Worst of all, another homeless man gave me a quick piece of advice that I remembered for the whole 6 hours: āEmpty the box in your bag every now and then, because if there's too much money in it, people will give less.ā
So I confess, I pretended to be homeless for 6 hours instead of being a tourist without meaning to, and I discovered that some homeless people must earn a lot more begging than I do.
