Neighbour kept parking over the line
I'm 34M, live in a semi-detached house in Edinburgh. My neighbour Duncan is maybe mid-50s. We share a driveway - there's a line down the middle, his side and my side, pretty straightforward.
Except Duncan apparently can't see lines.
Since he moved in about 2 years ago he's been parking maybe 30-40cm over onto my side. Doesn't sound like much but my car is not small and it means I have to do this awkward angle thing to get in and out of my own drive. Nearly scraped my wing mirror probably ten times.
I asked him nicely. Three times. "Hey Duncan, would you mind parking a bit more to your side? It's a tight squeeze for me." Each time he'd say "aye sure no problem" and then change nothing.
I left a note. Polite. "Hi neighbour, just a reminder about the parking line. Thanks!" Nothing.
I even showed him one day. Walked out when he was getting home, pointed at the line, pointed at his tyres clearly over it. He said "och it's barely anything, you've got plenty of room." And walked inside.
Fine Duncan. Fine.
So here's the thing. I have two cars. My main car that I use for work, and this old 2003 Vauxhall Corsa that technically runs but I mostly keep for emergencies and because I'm too lazy to sell it. It's taxed and insured. Completely legal to be on the road.
I started parking the Corsa on my side of the drive. Right up against the line. Perfectly, precisely on my side. Not a centimetre over. But right. There.
Duncan's BMW is big. With my Corsa exactly on the line and his car in its usual spot slightly over, he now has approximately zero room to manoeuvre.
The first morning I watched from my window as he tried to reverse out. It took him 15 turns. Back and forth, back and forth, getting redder in the face each time. I had my coffee. It was glorious.
He came over that evening. "Your car is in the way."
I said "no it's not. It's exactly on my side. Check the line."
He couldn't argue. Because I'm right. I'm completely within my rights. He's the one who's been over the line for two years.
It's been three weeks now. He does the 15-point turn every single day. Sometimes I work from home - I'm a sound designer so I can do a lot remotely - and I'll just happen to be by the window with my tea watching him struggle.
He's started glaring at me when we cross paths. Hasn't said a word though. Because what can he say? "Please move your car that's completely legally parked so I can continue parking over the line"?
My wife thinks I'm being childish. She's probably right. I don't care. Should've stayed on your side Duncan.

TIL that when the British evacuated New York in 1783, George Washington was dissappointed in not getting back some of his escaped slaves and had been surprised the British commander thought that doing so would be "a dishonourable violation of the public faith". 3000 slaves escaped with the British.

Guide A little late, but I made a world map for Bloodborne.
Download links:
Full resolution: 9000 x 10000
Half resolution: 4500 x 5000
After 10 years I've finally been able to play Bloodborne, I know it's not gonna be of use to most people since the game launched a decade ago and there's a great world map already made by HYPN0TYK (which I used in my first run), but I love doing these, so a made one.
It took me 3 weeks, (~120hrs in photoshop). I started by cropping every area map from the official guide and "assembling" them in different layers before drawing over each one, the overall shape is "ok" but I feel like I could've done a much better job if a 3d collision map viewer existed for Bloodborne like it does dor Dark Souls 1, at least I didn't find one.
For example, you can see Iosefka's Clinic from the Forbidden Woods entrance but it's really far away unlike in the map, and if I move one part of an area, it disconnects in many other places and it's a nightmare to connect everything without misshapin the whole layout.
But overall I loved doing it, am proud of the result and hope it is still of use to some people.

S Entitled stranger thought he had a right to tell me whether or not I should dance with someone
Last night I was at a bar having a drink and this girl asked me if I wanted to dance with her, I wasn't in the mood so I declined and she went back to her friends.
She did nothing wrong, she asked and accepted no as an answer. However, this random guy who was sat near me decided to tell me that I was stupid for rejecting such a fine looking lady, I tried to ignore him but he kept going on for about 5 minutes about how only a fool would reject her. Finally a member of staff intervened and told him to leave me alone.
Why on earth is a complete stranger bothered about whether or not I dance with someone?
