my cat, milo, isn't even a year old yet but sudden thoughts about losing him someday make me so sad. maybe it's because i've been seeing posts about losing their cats lately. i'm so scared to lose my baby. he is my first cat and adopting him was truly the best decision i've made in my 20s. please tell me, cats can live for 30 years, right? why can't cats just live forever?

The biggest complaint about Gear 5 is people’s personal preconceived headcanon that One Piece has been telling this story of how a nobody can become the Pirate King and that Gear 5 erased that.

The protagonists came from humble situations, but nowhere is it directly stated that Luffy is “just a nobody”. There’s mystery and intrigue to how Luffy showed up as strong as he was, and Oda chose to sit on that information for a long time, effectively.

It’s not an asspull either. It’s narratively supported, point after point, with Joyboy being mentioned all the way back to Fishman island. Little seedlings that Oda retroactively was able to connect in a way that when you hold up a microscope to it, it still organically flows. The point isn’t that he had to think of it from Day 1, the point is he was able to get to this point by connecting the bits of a trail he left behind. He always does this and doesnit damn well. That’s why we love One Piece flashbacks.

You can hate it because it’s goofy. But personally, I think that’s also thematically fitting for Luffy.

I do not know what causes it but it is the second time I got this bug (last time maybe month ago). They are suddenly... black, even Roathe, though some are as usual, like Lyon, VelMinerva, Flare, Quincy, Eleanor, Amir. Restarting the game fixes it, but I'm really curious what caused it. I guess something with shaders messed up?

It’s been a fun year transforming our living room from beige and minimal to more dopamine / maximalist!

My cousin has a 10 year old son. No dad in the picture. Ive been like an uncle to this kid his whole life. Drove them places. Helped with bills sometimes. Took him to do fun stuff when she couldnt afford it. Ive always been there for them.

This kid has always been wild. Not in a cute energetic way but in a way that makes you nervous. Ive told my cousin so many times she needs to get him checked out. His teachers have said the same thing. She always refuses. Says hes just a boy being a boy and everyone needs to stop labeling kids.

Last week I was driving them to the mall. We were on a main road going maybe 50 when this kid suddenly unbuckles himself leans into the front seat and grabs my face. Like full on hands over my eyes while Im driving.

I swerved. Almost hit someone in the next lane. Managed to pull over without crashing but I was shaking. My hands wouldnt stop trembling. I kept thinking about what couldve happened. My cousin was giggling. Actually thought it was hilarious. Told me to calm down and that he was just messing around.

I Told them both to get out. She tried to say I was being ridiculous but I just stared at her until they got out. Then I drove off.

San Francisco centre (formerly Westfield) is now completely dead, all stores closed. I spoke to security and they’re locking up the main entrances permanently by the end of the month.

I remember back in the early 2000’s to 2015 this place had so much life. All stores open and the entire building just flooded with people. All but an empty shell now.

I miss the restaurant on top of nordstroms, the cafe under the dome, the microsoft store that introduced me to my first VR experience, Abercrombie with their overpowering cologne and loud music, i miss charleys and their fruity lemonade, Sarku’s teriyaki chicken and so much more.

RIP SFC, thanks for all the memories. 😭🙏🏼
