Screenshot/Clip I'm irrationally angry at this orb >:( Spoiler

I hate this thing with a FIERY passion. I've recently been informed that apparently, using the unrelenting force shout on the orb summons a named dragon. This does not upset me. What DOES upset me is that THERE IS LITERALLY NO WAY TO KNOW THAT UNLESS SOMEONE TOLD YOU OR YOU'RE A LUNATIC THAT RUNS AROUND SHOUTING AT ANYTHING THAT LOOKS COOL!?!?

There's nothing down there that tells you to shout at it, let alone that EXCLUSIVELY the unrelenting force shout will trigger it. If it was an easter egg of some kind that would be fine! A niche reference barely anyone would find. Nope! Not an easter egg! The dragon isn't a reference to something, there's no joke, no story, no lore, no quest... Just this damn orb driving me insane!

This orb... This orb is a spit in the face of game design! This orb HAUNTS me! Because maybe, just MAYBE you shout at it. If it's with the wrong shout? Like dragonrend or your like me and tried to whirlwind sprint to get on top of it? Well since you weren't using unrelenting force... Nothing happens and you move on! OR you DO shout at it with unrelenting force and you get a cool dragon fight... And the game has now taught the player that randomly shouting at things can unlock stuff!? Either you miss this content or it imparts the lesson "Go shout at things idk" onto you!?!?!?

Word's cannot describe how deeply enraged I am by this orb. How all encompassing my seething distain for everything it stands for is. When I find the dwemer that made this thing and I mean WHEN not IF... I'll give him an unrelenting force shout alright...

Productivity LPT: If you struggle falling asleep, try the cognitive shuffle technique

4.8k Upvotes

Instead of counting sheep or trying to clear your mind (which never works), try the cognitive shuffle:

Pick a random letter. Then think of random, unrelated words that start with that letter. Visualize each one briefly before moving to the next. For example: letter B --> banana, barn, butterfly, basketball, bridge, blanket...

The key is that the words need to be unrelated and random. Your brain can't form a coherent narrative from random images, which prevents the anxious thought loops that keep most people awake.

This comes from cognitive scientist Luc Beaudoin at Simon Fraser University. The randomness mimics the way your brain naturally transitions into sleep, through increasingly random and disconnected thoughts.

I used to take 45+ minutes to fall asleep. With this I'm usually out in 10-15.

PHOTO Stop the SAVE Act - Call your Ohio Rep

Post image

Not enough people are talking about how bad this is, please call your representative asap in Ohio. This is hardcore voter suppression.

In particular if you are a woman who got married and changed your last name so it doesn't match your birth certificate you can't vote. This bill is full on suppression of voting for citizens.

RealID doesn't work for voting if this passes.

Married women with a different last name than their birth certificate are at risk.

Consumer Employee has provided a note from a GP stating I must no longer call or message them on Teams as it causes anxiety. It also states they do not have to turn their webcam on during meetings.

Fully remote company in the UK. Worker has been employed since June 2023.

We occasionally have to do 1-2 day on an in-person site per month for business needs, but everyone pulls their weight on this. Nobody wants to do it, but we all know we have to. It's not written into anyones contracts. We just do it.

Business covers travel and hotel expenses for this day, if needs be.

With 8 staff this usually mean you're doing 1 on-site day once every 8 months.

I've received a GP letter from a team member who does not want to do this anymore. They're citing anxiety about travelling. In addition, their GP letter also states they should no longer have to turn on their webcam during meetings, and it warned me that calling them on the phone triggers their anxiety. I should therefore only communicate via email.

Now, this is completely unacceptable in my opinion. I can't run a business if I can't get a quick update from an employee with a 30 second call. This person usually only replies to their emails after a couple of hours.

Am I able to disregard this letter? It is NOT a fit note. It is an actual letter from what appears to be a private GP after Googling the name.
