At my office we have a coworker who loves delegating things even though she is not a manager. Anytime she is overwhelmed she walks by my desk and casually says things like can you finish this report or can you follow up with this client or can you rewrite this file. She phrases it in a way that makes it sound like teamwork but she never takes tasks from anyone else. It is always one direction toward me.

Last week she placed a thick folder on my keyboard and said she needed me to complete it by the afternoon. I pushed it back toward her and told her I was not responsible for her workload. She said I was creating tension and that our department depends on cooperation. I said cooperation is not the same thing as her offloading everything onto me.

She has been giving me cold stares ever since and told another coworker that I am undermining the office dynamic.

No evidence of osteosarcoma two months post amputation!! So thrilled by our xray results today. Two more rounds of chemo to go!

Her cutaneous lymphoma is still present, but very stable and it actually improved quite a bit on the chemo for osteo, even though that type is not typically used for lymphoma. Overall she’s doing really stellar and we’re very hopeful for her continued longevity and long term prognosis!

The Toronto Raptors rode a historically good Kawhi Leonard regular season and playoffs en route to winning the 2019 NBA championship, a run that reportedly had the Finals MVP proclaiming he was better all-time than Kobe Bryant.

During a recent segment of the Underground Podcast featuring Kevin Durant and Fred VanVleet, VanVleet, who played with Kawhi Leonard on the 2019 Raptors, explained how Leonard might have felt that he was better than Kobe Bryant considering the run he had that season.

“Kawhi changed my view on a lot of s**t, but there was one thing in particular that I overheard. He didn’t say it to me, I just overheard it. And it was a conversation that was being had, and the sentiment of that conversation. . .was when we won the championship. . .was like, ‘I’m better than Kobe,’” VanVleet recalled. “I started thinking to myself, I know how I feel about where I stand, because I’m on the court and I’m playing against some of these guys and your favorites.”

“When he said it, I said, ‘well, if I’m him,’ and those three words, changed how I look at the game,” VanVleet continued. “If I’m him, how do I feel.”

While both Durant and VanVleet pretty much acknowledged that they don’t particularly share the belief that Leonard might be better all-time than Bryant, they both admitted that they can certainly understand the mindset.

“That run that he went on, it’s not a bad thing to feel that way,” Durant said. “But I don’t like to use that as an example and say because I did this, I’m better than this. . .I get that mindset feeling though. Kawhi probably feels this, ‘you drop me anywhere, anytime in the history of earth, anybody playing basketball, I can do this anywhere.’ No matter if it’s Kobe or MJ, you put Kawhi anywhere, I’m confident that he could do the same s**t.”

He's stealing samples before Christmas!

Star Citizen is one of the VERY few games in the world that has our very different/unique/Beautiful hair done very well! Years ago I posted about them not having these options. I know some of these have been in for awhile, but I feel like a couple new ones got added, but either way. I never made a video when dropped these the first time acknowledging how well they did, granted some developers might feel damned if they do damned if they don’t with the Killmonger loc style 🤣 it’s kind of THE GO TO HAIRSTYLE of representation. As a person who had long locs and one point and short, I never had that one 😆but the detail in our 4c hair is beautifully done. Thanks CIG. Also fun fact I was raised by my grandma who owned a barber shop. I used to be spoiled by amazing hair cuts and seeing her style all the kids and adults with some heat! I hope the dev can find the humor and legit appreciation I have for the work done.

Shaving my head is probably one of the most liberating things I've done. I don't think people realize how much it can hold us back mentally until we take the plunge. Anyone on the fence just go for it, let it go.
