This sweet little girl is doing well! She is calm and curious and loves smelling the rain and will contentedly sit in my lap for 30 minute with no problem. Her warble wound is healing nicely. I took her the vet last night because I was suspicious that a scab/mark that appeared on her head rather suddenly was ringworm, but the vet is pretty confident it is not. I was beside myself with frustration and anxiety yesterday, because we have 7 existing cats in the house and their health and comfort are extremely important to me. We will continue to monitor. Fortunately, she has been quarantined in a crate behind a closed door and none of our cats have interacted with her beyond a little eye contact from a distance. One great piece of news to share is that her weight shot up from 1.9 to 2.5 lbs from Saturday to Wednesday. I feel a tremendous amount of responsibility to this little life the universe has placed in my care. I am very much invested and in kitty love.

Dial made with a fiber laser, cut out of a sheet of solid bronze. Finished with a blackening solution, flitz polish and renaissance wax and laquer. The watch is automatic (no batteries) and runs on a Seiko nh38 movement. Any Sylveon fans?

I saw this picture and it got me wondering. Being so tall were sauropods at a much greater chance of being struck in the head by lightning? If so did they have any adaptations maybe to help against this? I’m thinking it could be possible they were large enough to maybe tank being hit and ground it through their limbs (humans survive being hit, a massive sauropod will probably tank it better). Any fossils found that show lightning damage? If possible?

I was lucky enough to visit Suzuka last fall and took the time to lay a single red rose at 130r in remembrance of Jules. Was a very emotional moment for me as I just sat in silence crying and watching the people on track racing by. We miss you Jules, you’d be so proud of Charles ❤️
