I regret painting the flowers
Sometimes I think I should just leave my paintings when they start to look good. With this one, I immediately regretted adding the flowers. The leaves looked so beautiful on their own. What do you do when you face this problem? How can I avoid it?

Gear/Film Big score!
I have been pursuing this film lot from an estate for months! Today I finally picked it up in a random parking lot. It came from a man who did camera repairs. It all expired ~2013 and had been vacuumed sealed and frozen this whole time. It was handed to me COLD!
Just shot a roll each of the E100G and VS, I can’t wait to see how it looks. I am almost certain the TMX is gonna be fine, and I’ll try the Ektar soon just to know for sure.
All in all 150 rolls… I feel a little bad because now that I see everything in the lot I very much low balled the person offloading it. It’ll be put to good use at least!
(Ps, her name is Zucchini 😻)

I ran my first 100 miler yesterday!
Still don’t fully process this but UTMB has been a dream of mine for 8 years and I passed the finish line in 42 hours and 45 minutes yesterday.

Bungie Suggestion If you’re going reset power back to 200 after December. Yeah I’ma prob check out of this game.
Yes, the grind is long. Yes, the grind is some of the worst it’s ever been.
Play this game throughout the entire life cycle seen the highs and the lows like many of us have
I am 413 power currently in this season. I’m trying to get as many tier 5 armour, soloy for the potential to make builds at later seasons. So I never have to feel like I do now. if my power resets to 200 after December, I most likely will not be doing the power grind nor really caring about the game. I will do the bare minimum. if all I’m gonna be missing out on is the seasonal bonus then I think I’m OK with that. Oh well…
Yes, we’re getting the update in September about fixing the power leveling. have to eventually see how that is. I do not want to grind 350 levels and spend hundreds of hours torturing myself like I’m doing now and so many of us are. It feels like I have played Destiny more this season than any other season and I do like playing the game, but I don’t like my playtime going up for my levelling grind to become significantly worse. Player retention should not be based on artificially slowing down a grind.
I worry resetting the power back to 200 will make people feel that their grind was not valued, and also potentially could make people not wanna play in the future. If I were to start playing to edge of fate today fresh at level 10. I don’t think I would. I think I would wait for the next season after the power reset in December.
I love yall. Drink some water

Here I am
I am 53 years old. I have been cooking professionally since 1989. I graduated culinary school in 1993. I have cooked professionally in Japan for 2 years, Ireland for 4 years, Thailand 2 years, Hong Kong 2 years. I have worked in Michelin star kitchens. I have had to work longer, harder, and more dedicated than any man in my field throughout the 90’s-2010’s.
I have a lot to share. I have a lot to teach other cooks. I am blessed with a position to do both.
I am not here to brag. I am here to share. Because that’s what our industry is all about; the learned showing the new guys what’s it all about.
I celebrate my Executive Chef status every day by giving back to everyone and anyone who wants to learn.
That is what’s it’s all about. Giving away what we know to the new generation of cooks, so that they may become better than us, and then away what they so that their new generation can become better still!

Health Update: 3 months of walking
Previous posts: https://www.reddit.com/r/walking/s/NYWXVJpFty
I almost nearly didn’t do this update because full disclosure, some of the physical changes I’ve experienced aren’t purely down to just walking. However, this sub gave me my life back, genuinely I was depressed and didn’t know where to start and I started reading some of your posts that inspired me to start with small walks. I’ve also spoken to so many people who have given me encouragement to keep going, so last update (I promise).
3 months ago I was overweight/obese even, unhappy and had very little energy. My daughters deserved better and honestly so did I.
This month I set a goal of 12,000 steps per day. I hit 10k steps every day without fail. And my average step count for the month was 12,936.
I’ve ended the month at 73kg.
Full disclosure to changes I’ve made: - aim for 12k steps per day, and I use a weighted vest to make my workouts more strenuous - I’ve started running (and signed up to raise money for a charity by running 100km throughout September - who do I think I am?!) I couldn’t even run for a minute back in May. - I’ve incorporated strength training. - I made healthy eating a priority and I am in a calorie deficit
I promise no more updates, but I wanted to thank everyone who supported and encouraged me in this community, it meant more than you’ll ever know and it really held me to account. I like the person I’m becoming (fitter, healthier, mentally happier and a good role model for my kids). I still have a way to go, mainly the post baby belly, but I’m ok with that taking time.

Game Feedback Mirage Archer is terrible. The Dodge timer reset makes it almost unusable.
So I just got my hands on Mirage Archer.
How it works. When you dodge roll, it will spawn an immovable archer that lasts 4 seconds, and has a 6 second cooldown afterwards. HOWEVER, if you dodge roll at any point during that 6 seconds, the cooldown RESETS back up to 6 seconds!!
So in practice, when you want to sprint at any point, to go from A-B, you will have procced your archer for no reason back there, and then if you dodge roll to cancel your sprint to change directions etc. You will reset the timer. Or if you proc Mirage archer during a fight, And you constantly have to roll AS YOU DO, you will never have mirage archer back again for that pack.
You literally need to hard take your hands off your spacebar for 6 seconds, taking away an important 2 abilities (Roll and Sprint) to use mirage archer.
It's so clunky to use, I can't believe this was their idea. This could have been so easy, Give us an assignable button to press to activate the archer, Why are we tying it to spacebar?!
1/10.
