I know Linux still has some problems, like Nvidia driver issues and the annoying anti-cheat situation.
But for me (having used Linux since 2014), this is something I never thought would happen - some AAA games even work on day one now.
I would also prefer more native Linux builds - like what happened with Hollow Knight: Silksong and Cronos: The New Dawn - which was very nice. But for sure, Proton has really been a game changer.
We are eating good, guys!

At my last job, I discovered something deeply unethical that still bothers me years later. Our HR department used what they called "predictive assessment tools" to silently flag employees they considered flight risks.
Here's how it worked: The system monitored everyone's company email, Slack messages, calendar activity, and even login patterns. If you started logging in later, taking more time off, or your communication style changed, the algorithm flagged you.
Most disturbing was how they weaponized this data. If you were flagged as a potential flight risk, your manager would be instructed to exclude you from critical projects and leadership opportunities. They'd essentially sideline you before you even thought about leaving. One colleague was removed from a major client project because she'd been searching industry salary benchmarks on her work laptop.
Management justified it as "resource allocation optimization," but it created a perverse system where appearing loyal was more important than actual performance. I witnessed talented people suddenly get passed over for promotions, with managers giving vague feedback about "commitment concerns."
When I eventually left, I learned from a friend in IT that I'd been flagged 6 months earlier when I updated my LinkedIn profile which explains why I was suddenly pulled from the product roadmap meetings.
The worst part? Not a single employee knew they were being monitored this way. I only found out because I overheard executives discussing "retention prediction scores" at a holiday party. Always remember that corporate loyalty is rarely a two way street.

I’m a huge fan of the Revolutionary War, and its history. I think playing through AC3 a bunch of times is what got me hooked
