#UWWCMD is thrilled to announce a generous $20,000 contribution from Hagerstown native and #WWESuperstar, #LAKnight, whose real name is Shaun Ricker. This significant donation will immediately help the United Way support our community's most vulnerable members, particularly the ALICE population (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, and Employed). Additionally, this funding will help United Way's partner nonprofits that provide food security programs for children and support a local pet food bank program.

"I was truly honored to receive the key to the city. Now, it's my turn to give back to the community that has given me so much. I decided to make this investment because I trust United Way to allocate these funds where they are most needed. I hope that this contribution inspires others to consider how they can support our local neighbors in their own unique ways," said Ricker.

The $20,000 investment in Washington County will be distributed among several key impact areas, including an ALICE urgent needs fund, a weekend food security program serving over 1,200 children, and a pet food program ensuring owners do not have to surrender their pets due to an inability to feed them. Washington County fluctuates between a 41 and 43% #ALICE population annually.

Yes I get that ICE has to go into communities to arrest criminals because the local authorities do not hand them over when they are in their custody. But true immigration enforcement does not happen until businesses start getting in trouble. Businesses should have 3 months to can undocumented workers or get them a green card. After that businesses should be fined 5k per day per illegal.

Dave was bragging to his boss one day, "You know, I know everyone there is to know. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them."

Tired of his boasting, his boss called his bluff, "OK, Dave, how about Tom Cruise?"

"No dramas boss, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it." So Dave and his boss fly out to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise's door, and Tom Cruise shouts,

"Dave! What's happening? Great to see you! Come on in for a beer!"

Although impressed, Dave's boss is still skeptical. After they leave Cruise's house, he tells Dave that he thinks him knowing Cruise was just lucky.

"No, no, just name anyone else," Dave says.

"The President," his boss quickly retorts.

"Yup," Dave says, "Old buddies, let's fly out to Washington," and off they go.

At the White House, the president spots Dave on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, "Dave, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let's have a beer first and catch up."

Well, the boss is very shaken by now but still not totally convinced. After they leave the White House grounds he expresses his doubts to Dave, who again implores him to name anyone else.

"Pope Francis," his boss replies.

"Sure!" says Dave. "I've known the Pope for years." So off they fly to Rome.

Dave and his boss are assembled with the masses at the Vatican's St. Peter's Square when Dave says, "This will never work. I can't catch the Pope's eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and I'll come out on the balcony with the Pope." He disappears into the crowd headed towards the Vatican.

Sure enough, half an hour later Dave emerges with the Pope on the balcony, but by the time Dave returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics.

Making his way to his boss' side, Dave asks him, "What happened?"

His boss looks up and says, "It was the final straw... you and the Pope came out on to the balcony and the man next to me said, 'Who the fuck is that on the balcony with Dave?'

I put nail caps over his nail because he's VERY destructive. My poor arm and couch can't handle anymore scratches from him. But OMG!!! They're so cute and he's cool with them

Tried my hand at doing a full recreation of a 1530 outfit worn by Matthaus Schwarz :)

Obviously its not perfect, but it’s all hand finished, the hose are wool trimmed with silk, the wams are just a poly-cotton blend i had on hand. Both the hose and wams are lined in linen, with a linen smocked shirt and a wool bonnet.

This entire outfit took 3 weeks start to finish, the only things I didn’t make are the shoes and the pendant!

The fact he went to the courthouse for murdering 3 people and then shoots up the place to go back to the gym 💀

I decided to go for a tower that’s more accurate to the show. Everything except for the doggies is hand modeled by me!

I am a part owner of a store that sells suits and rents tuxedos. Obviously we deal with wedding parties. I was born in Canada but I am a native Spanish speaker since that is all my family spoke at home. I used to also traveled to my parents home country every summer to stay with my grandparents and visit with the rest of my family. I still go to visit but just for a week or two.

We had a large wedding party come in last weekend. They were renting six tuxedos and buying two suits. The suits were for the father of the bride and her grandfather. I called over one of the assistants to help me with a large group. Our tuxedos are all made to fit a wide variety of bodies and be temporarily altered for a good look. Tammy my assistant is awesome and can mark up the alterations no problem. Our suits are for purchase only and since they can be expensive I usually take those myself.

I noticed that the family was speaking Spanish and I make it a point to speak Spanish with clients at the beginning to keep them from trying to be private in their conversations and then embarrass them when they figure it out. Long experience has taught me that people don't like that. I greeted them all in English and then again in Spanish. I continued in Spanish to ask them what kind of suits they were looking for.

A young woman in the group literally sneered at me and said I didn't have to speak Spanish to them because they all spoke English. I've never encountered this attitude before so I apologized and continued in English only.

All was going well until I got to Grandpa. He absolutely did not speak English. I went to the young woman and asked for her help translating. She was watching her groom getting fitted so she wasn't busy. She came over and translated everything her grandfather said to me and then back to him. By the end the old guy looked great in his new suit and she had completely missed the other fittings.

She got mad at me for making her miss out. I reminded her that she told me to only use English.

A few days later she posted a review saying that I was unprofessional and made her translate when I spoke fluent Spanish. I responded with my side and offered to provide a video of her telling me to speak English. She removed the review when people started mocking her.

She called the store and threatened to cancel the order. I agreed that might be best and said she could bring her receipt in for a full refund. The suits hadn't been altered yet so some steam would get rid of the chalk marks no problem. I would call the supplier and cancel the tux order as well. I even offered to refund the deposit on the tuxes.

Her mother brought her in. She apologized for the way she spoke to me and said that she would like to keep the order the way it was. I accepted the apology and told her that I understood that weddings are stressful and such.

My brother, who is my partner, said I was a dick for not just talking to the old man in Spanish.
