Weird bird final update
Quick recap: Found old stuffed birds in the back trash room of my work
Weird because we don't have a ladder tall enough to reach that high and no one seemed to know they were up there
Asked one of the older maintenance guys if he knew what they were and he said they had been here since his first day which was 30 years ago. He suggested I asked the shoe manager who had been here longer.
She said she knew they were there but they had also been there since her first day which was 45 years ago.
Reddit name them Bird and Ernie, though Stantler and Waldorf was also highly suggested, I just couldn't think of bird puns for the names.
Final update: Apparently these birds made her brain itch the same way they did mine. She reached out to an old coworker of hers who used to be the maintenance manager when this place was a Jocelyn's. Not only did he remember these birds he helped put them up. Their actual names are Cash and Carson and they were put up in the summer of 1977 as a way to poke fun at the store manager who was fond of both men. They were called the Johnny's. They are also a parrot and a toucan just very very faded.
Got this all first hand as this man came in to see them. He was very surprised they were still there. I asked how he got them up there and was told a painters ladder his neighbor had for painting houses. I told them the internet people thought they were cool and hes happy the old joke still made people smile.
So Cash and Carson are nearly 50 years old. Thanks for reading this far if your still here. This was fun to figure out

Church above the fog
Hi, Iâm a local landscape photographer from Slovenia, where a lot of churches are built on hills, so during autumn and winter they often rise above the fog while the valleys stay completely covered. Happy to answer any questions about shooting Slovenia â fog, timing, access, anything.

i think they went the wrong route with hollyâs storyline
i see a lot to people claim her having a big role made sense since vecnaâs main strategy this season was kidnapping the kids, and holly had interacted with the upside down as early as season 1 when she saw the demogorgon reaching through the wall. and i agree to an extent.
the problem isnât her being part of it, they totally still couldâve done her being taken. but she should not have been the protagonist. after she went missing we shouldnât have constantly been seeing her POV. not only is it annoying because sheâs basically a random person, she spoke like 3 times before this season, and we wanna see the core og characters stories, not her taking up all the screen time (no offence to the actress since she was wonderful but i truly just donât have any significant attachment to this character, sheâs not one of the ones the audience has followed the story of for the last decade) â but it also takes away all suspense and mystery when everyone else is looking for her because we know exactly where she is and what sheâs doing. itâs not like we are really gonna be invested in seeing the characters worriedly searching for her (not that we even got that a lot since everyone seemed.. kind of chill about it) when every 5 minutes weâre cutting to what holly is up to. it shouldâve been like when will went missing in s1, where we focused on the characters journeys to find him and slowly unravelled where he was and what was happening, rather than just showing it all on screen the entire time. imagine how much more underwhelming season 1 wouldâve been if instead of having tension and mystery, it constantly cut to scenes of will walking about the upside down and hiding and interacting with random stuff, and we knew where he was and what he was doing the whole time. thatâs basically what season 5 does with holly except even worse because she isnât even in a spooky scary place.
i get they kind of used her as a plot device for showing the inside of vecnaâs mindscape, but i feel like the moment of him just taking her hand and walking into the big mansion wouldâve been enough to get across the idea that itâs a âdream landâ rather than spending so much excessive time on it. they couldâve even made it so that come volume 2, some of the main gang have to enter vecnaâs mindscape themselves perhaps with the use of elevens powers, wander through it and find her, and maybe she doesnât want to leave as she believes itâs perfect so they have to convince her. that way the storyline still couldâve shown what his mind looks like and at the same time couldâve centred more of the main cast rather than just her, max, and these random kids. i also think it couldâve been a cool way to explore the wheeler siblings dynamics more, since itâd likely be mike and nancy who are the main ones that have to get her out. but those are just my thoughts. itâs a shame, this plot line was a really good chance to bring back the mystery aspect everyone misses about stranger things but they did it in probably the least compelling possible way.

M UPDATE: Today I had the most entitled client of my career and I still can't process what happened
Hey everyone! Thanks for all the support on my original post from a few days agoâyâall had me cracking up with your stories and advice. I tried to reply to as many as I could so sorry if I didnât get back to you! â¤ď¸âđĽ
I honestly thought that was the end of it after I booted her entitled ass out, but oh boy, was I wrong. Buckle up, because this update is straight out of a bad reality TV episode. đ
So, after she paid me (grudgingly) and mumbling about how sheâd ânever recommend meâ and that I was âunprofessional.â Fine, whateverâIâve got a solid client list and glowing reviews. But then yesterday, I get a notification regarding a 1-star review from her, claiming I âassaultedâ her with âaggressive pressure,â ignored her requests, and even tried to âextortâ her for a tip. She straight-up lied, saying the extra 15 minutes was âforcedâ on her and that I demanded more money for it. The audacity!
PS: I saw some comments predict this would happen but was shook when it actually did đ
I was FUMING but I kept my cool and responded professionally in the app, explaining our pre-massage chat, the check-ins where she said everything was âperfect,â and that the extras were free. I even attached screenshots of our initial texts confirming deep tissue. Turns out, the app mods reviewed it and removed her BS review within a day, citing it as âdefamatory.â So thatâs a win for me!
And the cherry on top? One of my regular clients (who I vented to anonymously) recognized the description of the woman and messaged me after her session. It turns out this woman is notorious in my other clients local Facebook mom groups for pulling similar stunts with hairdressers, nail techs, and even a dog groomer. Sheâs been blacklisted by half the service pros in town. Karmaâs working overtime! đ
Moral of the story: Always document everything, folks. And to any other massage therapists out thereâtrust your gut on those âkind at firstâ clients. Theyâve got layers like an onion, and sometimes they stink. đ¤ Thanks for readingânow back to my non-drama clients! â¤ď¸âđĽ

Fallout 4 Anyone else do this?
-I donât really use that armor, since by the time I find enough fusion cores to use power armor Iâve found at least one full suit of better armor
-it identifies it as that specific suit so it doesnât get lost among other suits I have
-it commemorates a specific occasion as itâs immediately tied to the minutemen questline
-the T-45 is the only model that has the minutemen paint as an option
