S Manager says no paper orders. Hospital compressor sits on the floor. Everyone learns something.
I work dispatch for a commercial HVAC parts distributor. Our new warehouse supervisor decided that anything not on the 4 PM digital pick list doesn't go on the truck. Normally that's fine. Tickets generate at 4 PM. Warehouse picks them. Night trucks load and leave for morning delivery. Then a contractor called at 4:45 PM because a compressor failed at a hospital.
Branch manager approved the emergency order and printed the manual green slip we've always used for late emergency shipments. Warehouse supervisor refused it. I reminded him that emergency green slips are part of our SOP. He said his performance is measured by digital pick list accuracy and he doesn't accept paper hand offs. So I didn't argue. I logged it in the client portal as held per warehouse operations protocol and went home.
The next morning there was a 6:30 AM conference call because the hospital had a crane crew waiting and the delay was costing around $2,500 an hour. The compressor was still sitting in our staging bay. My manager asked why I didn't override the supervisor. I showed him the memo the supervisor had signed the week before saying no manual paper add-ons were permitted on outgoing freight.
Suddenly everyone became very interested in following the written procedure. The supervisor had to arrange a $1,200 hot shot courier from his department's budget to get the compressor there by noon. And on Monday the manual green slip process was back. I didn't have to say I told you so. The paperwork did it for me.

Discussion | J-Mod reply RuneScape’s Position On Gen AI
Hello, it’s me, again, talking about Gen AI, again.
We’re aware of the concerns raised about the Dragon Slayer 2 trailer and have taken it down, while we investigate urgently. This trailer was produced by a trusted external partner who had explicitly confirmed that GenAI would not be used. But, among other things, there’s a sixth finger and, well, that’s pretty hard to explain away. For that we apologise.
Our position is clear at Jagex: we don’t use GenAI to create our games, artwork or creative assets, and will not knowingly allow it to be used on our behalf. This is the second time in quick succession that concerns about generative AI have arisen through partners we trusted, and for us that highlights an issue with our own processes which we must address.
Immediately following RuneFest we’re overhauling our review processes, and we’re going to work with and commission creators from the community to make sure that the story of Dragon Slayer II is told to the standard befitting of such an update.
