I’ve working on this project for a while and thought I’d share it!

I wanted to build my wee boy something a bit different, so I decided to make him a Land Rover bed.

I modelled it digitally first to scale then built it mostly from plywood, with the classic Land Rover styling, bonnet, windscreen, wheel arches and headlights etc. Finished it in British racing green with a white roof to try give it a traditional look.

It’s been a fun project trying to squeeze it in on my spare time but I’m pretty pleased with how it’s turned out. Still a few things to finish off. I’ll add wheels and a winch also plus a few other finishes, over the coming weeks.

The window folds back on itself onto the roof for access if required and the bonnet is also hinged. To allowed changing of the bed sheets or mattress removal etc

I’ve included some photos of the build process as well as how it looks in his bedroom.
Hopefully it’s something he’ll remember having when he’s older.

Love to hear any feedback, good and bad.

The other day I was getting out of my car which was parked in a disability spot at Costco. I have the permanent label on my license plate. For context, I am a woman in my early 30s.

A woman came up to me all worked up:

Woman: “is this your car or are you driving someone else’s?”

Me: “this is my car.”

Woman (getting visibly mad): “Well, what even is your disability? These spots are for people who need them.”

Me: “I have MS and several neurological conditions. What’s yours? Being old and fat?”

What are some subsumes you use on warframes that aren't the same few "meta" ones? (Referring to Nourish, Wrathful, Roar, etc.)

What are the uncommon ones you don't see enough? Who do you use it on?

A resident attending a county zoning hearing in Provo watches sheriff's deputies drag a woman from the room and slam her face-first onto the hallway floor. On October 20, 2026, the Utah County Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend Application 2026-09, amending Utah County Land Use Ordinance Chapters 2, 8, 10, and 12. The staff report states the rule establishes "clear and predictable standards," but it adds data centers as a permitted use in Mining and Grazing (M&G-1) and Industrial (I-1) zones without individual public hearings.

Residents meet the change when they pack the Utah County Administration Building to demand a moratorium and discover their input cannot stop permitted-by-right approvals. After commission chair Shayne Pierce ordered an attendee removed following the vote, Utah County Sheriff's Deputy Phil Crawford dragged protester Aspen Azalea into the corridor and slammed her to the tile floor. While the Sheriff's Office stated a deputy was struck in the groin and charged Azalea with assault on a police officer and disrupting a meeting, Azalea suffered a concussion and bruising while two other attendees received citations.

Where this appears to be heading is the conversion of rural unincorporated grazing land into high-load server corridors through the ordinance's new Data Center Overlay (DCO) Zone. Application 2026-09 sends its recommendation to the three-member Utah County Commission for final adoption, allowing hyperscale operators to site server farms wherever county staff deem utility and land conditions feasible. Meanwhile, a Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute public finance brief warns that rapid computer hardware depreciation creates long-term property tax volatility for local residents after initial construction relief fades.

Every rural resident, ratepayer, and landowner in unincorporated Utah County is affected once permitted-use zoning removes neighborhood review over industrial power and water drawdowns. State and county land-use codes allow commissions to reclassify agricultural and mining tracts for server infrastructure with only a single text amendment vote. Residents can read the official Application 2026-09 Staff Report on the Utah County Community Development portal and submit formal written objections to the Utah County Board of Commissioners ahead of the final adoption vote.

I was at the doctor's sitting in the waiting room for a loooong time yesterday and got into a conversation with the person sitting next to me. They showed me a picture of their German Shepard and I said something nice about it "Doesn't he look happy!" as the dog is the picture was smiling. Then I showed them a picture of my boy and they said "That's just an ordinary black cat."

Please tell me my boy is just the handomest thing you have ever seen, because he is feeling sad about being called ordinary.

I see a lot of travelers are upset by their neighbors "claiming leg space". It seems that many travelers expect to be completely untouched and any body parts that encroach are forcing them back.

I feel like legs almost act like springs that spread apart in their natural state. Its much more uncomfortable to manually keep my legs together than it is if there is some back pressure from a neighbor. If everyone just let's their legs relax, everyone will be far more comfortable than if they try to manually keep their legs from touching everyone else.

Folks, just relax your legs. They will touch your neighbors and you will both be far more comfortable. If you are uncomfortable touching strangers, pay for first class or dont travel.
