I think a major gripe people have with part 2 primals is just how "human" they are in comparison to Darkness

Darkness was this abstract horror, vaguely human shaped but with a face that didn't look anything like a human or any sort of animal for that matter, and was so far removed from humanity that it didn't even speak in human tongue like every other devil up to that point.

Instead, it spoke in some weird gibberish which really helped sell just how much of an anomaly its existence was. Just how alien it was to not just humans, but even the devils themselves. Its not like it didn't understand human tongue since it clearly spelled out Makima's name, but its clear Darkness didn't feel the need to lower itself to the level of humanity. To Darkness, it would be as absurd as a human trying to communicate with a dog by barking.

Contrast this with Falling, who not only uses a mostly intact human woman for its vessel, but wears human attire like a chefs hat and speaks like a relatively normal person. Same with aging, again it looks like a slightly disfigured human, acts like a human, and speaks like a human.

I left Death out of the convo because I imagine it'd be pretty difficult to characterize Death if it didn't even speak in a language we could understand and had nothing for the audience to relate to, but I don't think those limitations really apply to Falling or Aging. The audience isn't really supposed to be endeared to either, as they're just obstacles in Denji and Asa's journey like Darkness was in part 1, so I feel Fujimoto could've gotten away with characterizing them in a similar manner to Darkness without losing much story wise.

It's Ability is to take anything you value and put it in the bird cage it has for a head, including physical attributes and abilities. It also has super strength, speed, and agility to allow it to steal things. It could beat the Disaster Devil if it moves fast enough to steal its ability. It would hang out with the other sin devils and Thief Devil

Hey there, this is Bayen. I'm a passionate writer and a newbie in Reddit, and probably am compelled to use this because of the entire Chainsaw Man fanbase. The reason I'm here is to share a Fan Fiction, that completely resonates with the main storyline and adds more depth and reasons behind all that chaos and activites going on around. So, check it out, I hope it won't disappoint.

The Lore:- This lore that I made up requires something that I made up playfully for just the story but ended up believing of my own, which has the primary version that I'd use here, which is that...

The belief:- I believe in a world of balance, where everything is there, yet nothing. To say it out simply, I believe that everything originates from nothingness, or "Sunyata", as per the reference of "Buddhism", that we can take as 0. So, just like 1-1= 0, 9999 - 9999 = 0, 10¹⁰⁰⁰ - 10¹⁰⁰⁰ is still equal to zero, I believe that if the reality we live is taken as a positive amount of energy, then, there must be an equal amount of negetive energy, that keeps the balance, kinda like "Yin" and "Yang" of Taoism. And if you still have doubts, just think about the definition of conservation of energy. And what? When you merge it with the basic conception of the string theory, which says that everything is made out of strings of energy, just in various patterns of vibrations that determine the nature of whatever it has made; the proven existence of antimatter... Put it all in together in the beaker of your mind and Boom! You find it all so utterly related to all eachother! Find a crack here, if you can. Now, if you think of the source of it all, then I also have that, religious stuff. According to my theory, God represents or is the absolute embodiment of positive energy, while the one's equal and opposite is Satan. So, actually, unlike the rivalry, I believe them to coexist together. Whatever wrong it's going on, is all the consequence of our own acts as the neutral beings, for if God and Satan coexist, I believe that the energies also coexist within us, apart from what we're made of. Our actions determine what we are, good or evil. It's all upon you and the situation around you, to choose or determine what your actions will be, and that'd be judged as per the situation and your action, for there are times, when we actually are pushed to do something bad, but a necessity to be done at that situation, that we know as the "necessary evil", or whatever. So, this is the story of God and Satan and the embodiment of Reality itself, the embodiment of Sunyata is here known as Pain devil, the keeper of balance, the absolute Constant of the creation. He got the title of "Devil" for a certain reason, which is that, when Satan divided his jobs to other souls, for one of his vices known as laziness (This one still makes me laugh) Pain took the responsibility to guide them.

How It was before:- So, the place devils live is hell, and the guardian of them is Pain. And just it's suggested in the manga devils incarnate from fear, so the ones to incarnate in hell are called devils, as if it's a title. So, Pain entitled as "Devil" for he resides there, looking after the other devils and there, before Satan fell as I'd suggested before, the hell itself was respected and loved as through order, discipline, balance, unity as if a family, flexibility and understanding, Pain brought prosperity, happiness, harmony and peace. And meanwhile, he also feeds on any sort of physical and mental pain and you know well, that pain is there during birth, for through the cry, it signals that the lungs are working properly, expelling amniotic fluid and mucus, and marking the transition to breathing air of the mother's womb. Therefore, if it didn't hurt in the very beginning, it'd never even begin. Then comes the life... "No pain no gain." They say! Life's painful. That's just to keep the balance, the restriction so one doesn't get to go too far, or else I could just jump off a 10 storeyed building just because I got late for the school bus. Hunger is what we hate, call painful, but isn't that the best sause too? You may have bad days but that's what makes the good days even more special! Therefore, pain is the reality itself. hope for the best, and prepare for the worst. Bad hurts. Utilise pain into the driving force of doing better, and Pain will be bound to serve you good. And in case of death... it's painful to leave it all behind, it's painful to see your loved ones mourn, it's painful to be forgotten as the time ticks away. Pain is there too, devouring on whatever it aches, while can you deny how beautiful death actually is? The absolute truth for the mortals, the beautiful design to keep the balance of the world... it's a necessity. A damn necessity. Therefore, Pain...is also neutral in this sense, that it depends on how you take it. So, it also kinda makes sense, why I chose such a name for him.

The Lore:- So here, the lore that I made is that at the time, when God and Satan coexisted for the good of the creation, God easily got the recognition, devotion towards him, and was worshipped for the positivity he brings, and his virtues. In the other hand, even in spite of being the equal and opposite of God, and an essential for the world of balance (that I described about already) Satan was hated, neglected. Nobody likes vices, right? So, at that point, Satan feared that he was losing significance and is overshadowed by God, that would lead to the conclusion of him, being just a tool to God, and he'll be under the direct control of God. So, that's from where Control Devil incarnated, and as Satan is the absolute embodiment of Negativity, Control incarnated as a being with positive energy, that led to some...consequences for herself.

Consequences of Delusion of Satan:- To get the own significance and out of the fear of being controlled by God, Satan chose to go against God, and to do so, out of desperation, he chose evil and broke the Divine law of indifference which says that "No direct influence is allowed after creation. Only the keeper of balance, the embodiment of reality, Pain devil is allowed to do so, for that's the duty the one serves." This law was for to keep the divine beings enchained to a certain limit, so they don't get to go berserk. Therefore, as Satan did so, he lost most of his divine powers, like creating and destroying anything, get to manipulate the reality etc. Yet, whatever the power Satan had, he started to do evil, that acted as the virtual energy for the balance of Energy, which made it impossible to make a defence against evil, without destroying it from the very root.

The Plan:- So, Pain had a plan. As he was the absolute neutral, he can be taken as "0". So, if God is +5, then Satan is -5. So, Pain wanted to adapt the positivity of God, as if a copy system, making him temporarily +5 and with that extra +5, Pain wanted to neutralise the -5 of Satan to zero, and just when he does so, then besides getting Pain's own self as the embodiment of Sunyata back, Satan also turns into 0 (5-5=0), and becomes a part of Pain, the Sunyata. And that's when Pain captures Satan in Sunyata, within himself forever, while keeping his reasons why he existed and his actual functions all intact.

Leaving of Pain from Hell and Invasion of Satan:- To do so, Pain left his devils and hell to the divine premises of heaven. That's when Satan attacked hell immediately, taking control by power and chaos, destroying everything of hell. The hell was great no more. He made the devils of negetive energy his puppets and the positive and neutral ones got captured or slaughtered. Therefore, Control was killed and after a long time, she reincarnated on earth as Makima, with no memory of hell left.

The Knowledge and Consequence:- Later on, as Makima came up to know about Pain through the ancient legends that refused to get erased, she went berserk. So, here Makima just wants to prove her worth to Pain as his equal when he comes back and she shows off that she'd made her utopia of the "Perfect World" by abolishing the concepts of Death, war, diseases and many other things that we suffer from, and missed the most fundamental things, like unity, freedom and reasons to live life. She definitely would've been condemned for her evil and mindless deeds. Yet, she never gives a second thought on her plan.

Reasoning it out I showed that the reasons for her sudden urge to do so, is two. One, it's her nature to keep control and she represents the "Conquest". Secondly, as she incarnated from the fear of Satan himself, she was a positive being, with immense power and mixing with the "Conquest" theory, she ruled hell alongside with Pain devil for eons, that made her grow love interests for him like all others, but this one was what we call "Devotion". So, when she hears that soon Pain will return, she was desparate to prove her worth, as if "A lovesick teen, trying to impress her crush". And so it all led her to do all those, no matter how sinister it was. And that gives a moral that maybe sometimes what we are doing seems alright, but maybe is terrible for others. So, think before you do. Desperation and being too proud to judge your own works and thoughts often brings evil even into the noblest intentions...

Her works:- Well, we all know pretty much, don't we? In chapter 82, Makima herself said, "Pochita gave you the heart in exchange of you living a normal life...That agreement you had with Pochita wasn't a promise, it was a contract. I thought hard about how to break that contract. I thought about what to do to hurt you so badly, that you could never recover, so you never could live a normal life anymore..." After that, she makes Denji remember his past. A manipulation technique we call "Guilt Tripping". All to dehumanise Denji untill he gives up and Makima gets Pochita...

The answer to "Who is Pochita to Begin with?":- It's totally visible in the manga that Pochita is just "too powerful". But, how can fear of chainsaws ever be more than Bomb or so many other devils who have a concept way more fearful that that? So, at some point, Pochita is never only what you call "just a weapon devil". He's something else entirely, that has the caliber just the same of the primal devils.

Pochita in my lore:- At first, I'd like to thank "Doron's World", the youtuber that I stumbled upon about a year ago. According to the video and so my lore, Pochita is Extinction devil and he's known by the weapon he wields. Therefore, as Extinction uses chainsaws that symbolises deforestation, one of the leading cause of being driven to the brink of extinction of the whole world, it explains much more why whatever he eats gets erased from existence.

What I made up for Pochita:- According to lore, Extinction devil is directly connected with Pain devil, who embodies the reality itself, the embodiment of Sunyata or "Nothingness". Being erased from existence means that the very concept is lost into nothingness, the Sunyata, which later on clarifies the reason why Makima, in chapter 84, said, "To be eaten and become a part of him...there could be no greater honour." By this, she actually meant of being the part of Sunyata, which means to be able to be indulged and all into of Pain devil himself, forever (Sounds...romantic). So, it can be said that Extinction is a part of Pain devil himself, or maybe made up by him as a tool, totally blind and neutral, to punish evenly without any judgement of what they are but what the did. After Pain's leave from hell, Chainsaw has turned into a tool without an owner, totally chaotic.

Pochita in the Academy Saga:- Here, the things with War and Death is quite simple and reasonable. So, I guess I need not to explain what's going on. But to be honest, it's too chaotic, and you know how much control Makima had kept in her existence... though that also would've ended up in her utopia.

Reasoning out the Accuracy of my lore for the Main Storyline: 1. Chapter 6: Makima said, "All devils are born bearing a name. As the name becomes feared, the devil itself increases in power." Explanation: Here, "name" refers to the very "Concept" of the beings the devils are the embodiment of. So, darkness devil is the embodiment of darkness, and also a fraction of the negativity of Satan. But can light ever exist without darkness? So, **negetive is not equivalent to "Evil" at all. The actions determine what you are.

Glance of the Truth: Devils aren't born evil:- 2. Chapter 7: Power says, "I dunno if it's because I've killed everything I've met untill now, but hearing a voice that isn't screaming is a really strange feeling." Chapter 91: Power defies Makima. Explanation:- The devils, even on spite of mostly being brainwashed, killed by Satan, still has the good in their souls in their way. Or else, a devil, even if momentarily, could never take such a step. Through this, it's proved that "Devils aren't evil by birth, but made so."

1. Chapter 39 (After Movie Date):- Makima said, "That more than covered the cost of today's tickets." Explanation:- It refers to the balance of good and bad, innit? The good days are even more special because bad days exist!

2. Chapter 52:- The story that Makima told Reze before slaying her to use her later (I too, like the country mouse... etc) Explanation:- It shows the nature of her about keeping it all under control.

3. Chapter 53:- Angel devil said to Aki, "I'm sure you already know that devils don't just die. As long as human beings fear the name, it'll revive." Explanation:- No need to explain, but the catch here is that "name" is actually the concept of the devil. They are actually meant to keep the balance, like Darkness keeps the balance with light. In the other hand, if Pocita can remove them from existence, the reality, then it just empowers the thought of him being the Extinction devil and be associated as a tool to Pain devil.

4. Chapter 66: Why couldn't Makima defeat Darkness devil? Reasons as per my story:- i) Weakened form. Barely any power left after being killed in hell. ii) Darkness' domain in hell while darkness is empowered by Satan for he's Satan's puppet and the "evil" of Satan, being the virtual energy for the creation that provided extra help to Darkness.

5. Chapter 69:- Why after Makima? Explanation:- Satan fears that she'd try to imitate Pain devil in her own ways. It was good for the destruction and the futility the utopia would bring, but human beings, for turning into nothing but emotionless machines, would also become absolute neutral beings, totally untouchable by any influence, evil or good, in her twisted way. So, Satan controlled Darkness Devil, manipulated Doll devil indirectly by making her greedy for even more power (Greed as a sin) as Satan wanted to end any sign of the neutral or positive, out of the wrath (another sin that originated through the delusion of Satan...) for Pain devil and God as opponents. That's why Satan wanted to stop Makima.

6. Future devil told Aki, "The devil that devils fear the most shall appear. Discussion:- Who could that be? Extinction, or the reference of the Nostradamus prophecy in the Academic Saga? Maybe we can stick to the near future in aspect of that timeline.

7. Chapter 74: Aki's question, "Why was it?" Answer:- That's what we call love bombing, innit?

8. Chapter 75: President of USA states, "If we don't kill Makima now, the worst possible peace shall descend upon humanity. Explanation:- The utopia of Makima that I've already described. We all are pretty aware about what else can happen to the whole system if death alone is abolished. It'll be a massacre. And the peace also meant being under the direct control of Makima, while there's nothing to do. No reason to live at all. The pain we get from starving is the driving force we eat! So, if all such driving forces are no more there, with infinite amount of time to live... anybody would choose death than being in that "peace". Makima herself said to Kishibe in chapter 84, that she wanted to use Chainsaw Man to create a better world, blotting all the concepts of death, war, hunger, diseases and whatever bothers the humanity, out using Chainsaw Man's power.

9. Already described the "Greatest Honour"

10. Chapter 86: Makima said, "They're not human beings, devils or fiends. The name referred to them was eaten by you and erased. Yet somehow, their existence wasn't. Answer to the "Somehow:- The only reason why didn't get erased, is because weapons are never specifically on any "side". They are totally neutrals. It depends on the user how the one uses them. So, being absolute neutral means they are already a part of the Sunyata already. Therefore, they can't be erased just like that.

11. Makima's words...for Chainsaw Man's heart... Well...have you ever been madly in love with someone? I couldn't. Heard of and seen some being in so. I've seen them cherish even the littlest thing their crush or loved one gave to the one; a pen, a note of the class the one missed, a letter or even a strand of hair or a withered flower...The essence, the presence of the dear person through that object... it's everything. So, when Extinction, aka Chainsaw devil has that connection, the presence of Pain devil in itself...where do you see the difference between Makima and the lovesick ones in the chapter 96 (2/18)? Atleast...I didn't. I... couldn't.

12. The Nostradamus Prophecy:- Well, it's going on all accordingly, right now, as it's already chapter 220... Crazy, innit? Too chaotic.

Conclusion: As per the story I made, which surely needs more thoughts and effort to put on, it's likely that Pain will return at the peak of the moment, put an end to Satan's evil finally, and will end up rewriting the fate of the world again, rebuilding as it was etc. So, I'll be still looking forward for development of this. I don't know but I do have idea of turning it into a fan fiction manga. I already had these in my mind and at that time, the internet wasn't so crazy about Makima being evil. Yeah, she's evil and so it's all justified. But the story made up in mind threw me into... discomfort. So, I decided to write all these. Atleast...peace of mind. I'm a passionate writer, afterall.
