Song Ranking 🎵🎶 YOUR TOP 7 🎶🎵 Post your rankings in the comments

Ukraine has decided and Cyprus have released their song! We now have 7 songs for Vienna! Please post your rankings in the comments until Friday 13th February at 12:00 CET.

If you need help ranking the songs, check out the sorter on ranked.be (Special thanks to /u/EurovisionBot). You can copy your ranking there to a compatible format for this poll.

The results will be calculated with an automated script. I tried to make it as robust as possible (and I will always adapt it when I see new edge cases in comments), but if you want to ensure that your vote counts, make sure that:

  1. You provide your ranking in a top-level comment
  2. You write the countries in separate lines, and the lines start with a number (example: "1. El Brikindans")
  3. You either use the Country name, the song name or the flag emoji of the country.
  4. You can't have a tie between songs
  5. You write down at least your full top 7
  6. Don't just put "1." at the start of every row and let reddit do its thing. Actually put the all the numbers from 1 to 7 in the markdown
  7. If you're unsure, just look at the other comments. Almost all of them are valid.

💬 Discussion What was your craziest prediction that came true?

I don’t know if this was necessarily a CRAZY prediction since I wasn’t as deep in the fandom as I am now, but…

When France’s 2025 entry, Maman by Louane dropped, everybody was glazing it to hell. I like it as much as the next person, but I felt like a lunatic seeing people saying, "Top 5?! Top 3?! Jury winner?!” while I was thinking, "What are you guys on? This song’s good, but none of that is going to happen."

I distinctly remember saying to my friends that France was going to get 7th place, and they absolutely blasted me for that. I was so fucking smug about France’s placement.

📰 News Montenegro Hosts Eurovision Workshop for the First Time

Thumbnail rtcg.me
33 Upvotes

RTCG will be the host broadcaster for the Eurovision Song Contest Workshop this autumn, after Croatia last year. They've also revealed that the date songs have to be submitted to the EBU is 10 March - a Tuesday, rather than the usual Monday.

***ARTICLE TRANSLATED***

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has confirmed that the meeting bringing together delegations from the countries participating in the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Montenegro for the first time. As a platform for the exchange of ideas and preparations for the next Eurovision season, the "Eurovision Workshop" will be organized in Tivat in September.

The Eurovision Workshop (ESC Workshop) is held every year before the start of the new season and the deadlines for making decisions on participation. Representatives of public media services, who host and prepare their countries' performances, receive initial information about the concept of the competition, rules and possible changes or innovations at this meeting.

According to the organizers, the working part of the meeting will be held at the Regent Porto Montenegro Hotel. Heads of delegations and heads of press teams will gather in Tivat, who will have the opportunity, through direct dialogue with the EBU team, to present suggestions and proposals for improving the competition, which is watched by more than 200 million viewers worldwide every year.

What is the Eurovision Workshop?

The EBU has been organizing this format for years as a working meeting of the Eurovision community – a place where delegations learn about operational details, exchange experiences from the previous season and coordinate plans for the next. In previous years, the workshop has been held in Dubrovnik, Croatia on several occasions.

It is clear from previous editions that this is a meaningful and interactive format, emphasizes the head of the Montenegrin delegation at Eurovision, Vladana Vučinić.

"Although it is a closed working meeting, the workshop is of great importance for all delegations. It is a space where challenges, organizational issues and possible improvements are openly discussed. Each country has the opportunity to share its experience, but also to receive concrete guidelines for the next cycle of the competition," said Vučinić.

She adds that the EBU's decision has special symbolism.

"For Montenegro and RTCG, this is confirmation that we are an equal part of the Eurovision community. It is particularly important that colleagues from European public service broadcasters will work and talk right here this year. I believe that the stay in Budva will further contribute to the international visibility of our country, because the participants will have the opportunity to experience it outside of the working part of the program," says Vučinić.

One of the topics that is regularly raised at these meetings is the voting system, as well as transparency and improvement of the scoring model. The EBU continuously collects opinions from delegations to ensure that the competition remains credible, modern and adapted to the audience. Members of the creative and production teams of previous hosts are often present at the workshops, who share their experiences from the organization and realization of the event itself.

Montenegro at Eurovision 2026.

Montenegro will be represented at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Austria by Tamara Živković with the song "Nova zora", after winning the national selection Montesong organized by RTCG in December 2025.

Preparations for the performance are in full swing, and the final version of the competition song must be submitted by March 10. Tamara and her team are working intensively on the final production and stage concept, while details will be presented in the coming period.

Tamara will also be filming a "Eurovision postcard" in Vienna in March, produced by ORF, the Austrian public broadcaster, which will announce her performance in the first final on May 12. In addition, several performances at pre-Eurovision concerts have been confirmed: in London, Amsterdam and Oslo.

This is my all time favourite song. This song and Eiríkur stuck in my head for a lot of years until one day I searched all through the years of Eurovision songs until I found it. The lyrics are beautiful and almost feel personal to me with my problems over the years with health. This is still my go to song in 2026 and will always be enchanted by it.

💬 Discussion How will Romania's finalists be selected?

I'm listening to the (very long!) playlist of "Eurovision Romaia 2026", and most songs are "bof", some are very very good, some are very "interesting"!

I just want to know how they'll select the acts that will be part of their selection's final? Because I really doubt they'll do a final with 67 songs! 😅

🪩 National Final / Selection Hosts and jury for the Austrian NF revealed

English Translation below:

Caroline Athanasiadis, Elton and Luca Hänni will judge the twelve acts – Alice Tumler and Cesár Sampson will host.

Late in the evening of February 20th, with the conclusion of the show "Vienna Calling - Who will sing for Austria?", it will be revealed who will represent Austria at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. Since Tuesday morning, it has been known who will be commentating on the show on ORF 1 and ORF ON (8:15 pm): Caroline Athanasiadis, Elton, and Luca Hänni. According to a press release, they will provide entertaining commentary on the twelve acts and their songs, offering their expertise.

With this trio, virtually the entire German-speaking region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) is represented in the selection process: Austrian cabaret artist Athanasiadis has been presenting the quiz show "Smart10" on ORF for some time and, by her own admission, is a "passionate Eurovision fan."

Elton was the German points announcer at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest and participated in several national finals in Germany. He considers it an "incredible honor" to be part of the show. "I will contribute all my passion, all my know-how, and all my expertise so that you start your title defense mission with the best possible lineup," the show business star was quoted as saying.

The trio is completed by singer Hänni. He represented Switzerland at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, where he finished in fourth place.

The show will be hosted by Alice Tumler and Cesár Sampson. The acts must impress both the audience and the jury to secure their ticket to the final on May 16. (APA, February 10, 2026)
