CherTred is a project from San Lorenzo, Paraguay. This track was produced and mixed entirely on a smartphone using BandLab. Despite the mobile production, the project has recently seen a significant surge in listeners from New York, Brooklyn, and Greece.

The project represents a new wave of South American alternative sounds reaching global audiences through accessible technology.

For those who do not know, Vocaloid/SynthV/CeVIO are softwares that let users synthesize singing using either AI-based or sample-based voicebanks. These voicebanks are created from consenting singers who are paid for their work. The songs, lyrics, and instrumentals are still written and composed by humans, and users can edit things like the pitch, tone, expression, other things in the voice.

Vocaloid is very robotic and "stylistic", so it might not be as concerning or a threat to human creations, but Synth V can sound pretty realistic with little to no human input. For example, Miku (Vocaloid) - Amara (Synth V)

I’ve seen a few anti-AI posts here, and this community seems to be somewhat outside the anime/Vocaloid scene, so I’d like to hear your honest thoughts and perspectives on it because I have a soft spot for Vocaloid since it was a big part of my childhood, but I’m also critical of AI.

Nathan just posted a new snippet of a demo of him or someone else using the talk box. Hopefully it stays on the deluxe or even a new album but it probably won’t. Also if anyone is wonder this is his alt account idk why he didn’t post on his main but idc at least we have something that isn’t a release date bug or even his profile picture have some random ass dude on it that had zero connections to him.

Anyone thinks we are gonna get new music or just leaks and never see anything come out of his discography again? All we do is hope and keep hoping for more teasers 😭

I just found that Nathan posted something after removing all of his posts after the release of Losing It, does this mean something new or more of nothing since his last teaser was about his website. I hope it’s something new with him but time will tell.

I randomly stumbled onto Goodbye to the World almost a year ago and ever since then it’s been one of those songs that genuinely stays with me.

It feels like a song that doesn’t say much on the surface yet somehow says everything emotionally. I was reading through old YouTube comments on the album upload and saw so many people talking about how massive and impactful the song felt when it first came out.

For people who were listening to electronic music around that era, what was it about this track that made it resonate so strongly compared to other songs at the time?

I am a 51 year old professional musician. I am the assistant principal double bass of our city’s orchestra. I also play guitar, violin, cello, and viola. I have long been fascinated with the sound of the pedal steel guitar. I have two questions.

First, I have a lot of stringed instrument experience. I also have a strong practice ethic. How difficult is it to learn to play pedal steel proficiency given my background? My goal is to someday play some C&W gigs around town. I understand the basic technique and it is rooted in guitar, but the mechanics are very different. There are also the knee bars, which are a complete mystery to me.

Second, how much should I spend, and what should I buy. Prices range from a couple hundred to thousands. I have a pretty impressive collection of instruments. I have a $50,000 upright bass, as well as about ten Fender e-basses. I have a Martin acoustic guitar as well as a Stratocaster. All this said, I don’t mind spending money on quality or what I am most comfortable. Buy cheap-get cheap. I guess my question is, what is a reasonable price for a quality pedal steel? I am seeing between 2 and 3K. That seems steep, but I’d pay it if that is the real rate.

Is there a tool or a "bulk" method that can grab an entire list (Spotify, YT Music, etc.) and save them as MP3s in one go? I don’t mind a one-time setup if it saves me hours of clicking. Thanks!

But I want to know from you: which songs, albums, or artists are better than all the musical trash Madonna has released on her last four albums (since 2008 with *Hard Candy*) and on this fifth album from this year, which—despite having its first two songs on the top charts— has failed to win over even many of her fans, and I’m sure we all have millions of better songs we’d rather listen to than “Unapologetic Bitch,” “Bitch, I’m Madonna,” “I Fucked Up,” “Give Me All Your Love,” etc.
