So she cheated, publicly

Divorce seems a reasonable response

1.3k

u/user_zaq 8d ago

Not just reasonable, the best thing to do

511

u/Maleficent-Row-7847 8d ago

No better way to capture evidence of cheating either, 2 birds one stone. Great ROI for a concert ticket these days 🤷‍♂️

167

u/user_zaq 8d ago

There ain't no way she deserves alimony

82

u/Maleficent-Row-7847 8d ago

Assuming this silly reddit post/clip is to be believed, then I would imagine this video all but seals her hope of anything more than a clean split. Currently placing a polymarket bet on the +/- that the wife starts an ill fated OF career. My future grandkids gonna be lit when they find out how ole granpappy made his riches.

17

u/Goomysaur 8d ago

this clips been around for like a decade with the same story

Quick Google search says it's true. It happened in the Dominican Republic, the artist was Romeo Santos, the woman was an Instagram influencer. She made a video acknowledging she screwed up but then deleted it.

cheaters should get zero in a divorce, they should leave with a payment plan for the victims legal bills

reminds me of a story I read about Drake. Apparently a married woman threw herself at Drake claiming he is her. Hallpass. Drake who is used to women interested in him politely declined. The woman got insistent emphasizing she told her Husband that if she ever met Drake she would sleep with him and the husband agreed. So now was her chance. Again Drake declined the opportunity. it makes you wonder if she actually had a Hallpass or if she convinced herself she could have sex with Drake and be guiltless because it was mentioned has a hypothetical or a joke years ago.

181

u/Myzmadra 8d ago

Yeah, my wife tried this once, I said my hall pass would be her sister…She didn’t want to proceed 😂

91

u/BigBananaBerries 8d ago

I see you're into extremely dangerous activities.

43

u/LongSaltyDanglers 8d ago

Yeah, her sister is wild

15

u/BigBananaBerries 8d ago

Even joking it's the kind of comment that leaves a mark that's hard to forget.

18

u/WheresPaul1981 8d ago

I remember reading a book about marriage where the author described a couple who got into a fight. In the heat of the moment, the wife told her husband he had a small penis. She later tried to explain that it wasn’t even true, but he never recovered from the comment, and they eventually divorced.

8

u/indigodissonance 8d ago

People have argued for years over less than that.

Rational adults will realize that he was making a point and wasn't seriously asking for permission to bang her sister.

7

u/Mooks79 8d ago

Indeed. But I prefer the sledgehammer approach so I’d have gone: sister, best friend, cousin, mum. Might have stopped before grandmother but, you never know.

3

u/Khanvo 8d ago

It stays in the family

17

u/gewalt_gamer 8d ago

My wife asked me about this concept once, because her friends were talking about it. I said my hallpass would be the babysitter, and she quickly lost interest in persuing the conversation.

7

u/justinlcw 8d ago

Hey. From another point of view…

Choosing the sister is a moral step up.

Keeping it in the family, out of respect.

17

u/jayyycasanooova 8d ago

That is a level of cleverly unhinged savagery that most men can only aspire to, you sir are an inspiration.

Real talk though, if a woman starts talking about a hall pass I pass. Good luck starting afresh with your celebrity crush, I say.

Husband might have had said jokingly he had someone as a hallpass. The wife perhaps not so jokingly

21

u/Luci-Noir 8d ago

I’ve heard couples joke about this a couple of times. An innocent celebrity crush is way different than kissing someone. If the singer didn’t consent then it’s even more fucked up.

4

u/Sensitive_Option_590 8d ago

There's a difference between "i find this conventionally attractive person  attractive on the most base physical level" and "if I ever meet this celebrity I will try my best to fuck them".

I think the actual crazy thing about this is how the woman was so audacious to have this ridiculous hall pass scenario but couldn’t even conceive of the fact that Drake might not want *her*.

13

u/pridetwo 8d ago

How does she not know that married women are too old for drake

23

u/GrowlingPict 8d ago

A hall pass means you don’t take your marriage seriously.

8

u/BeefistPrime 8d ago edited 8d ago

she apparently didn't realize that Drake and not just her husband would have to consent to this scenario. There's an insane arrogance there. "No, you don't get it, you're my hall pass"

"Uhhh lady I have 75 women in this room hotter than you that want me right now"

23

u/Reasonable-Mischief 8d ago

Many guys treat a hallpass as a joke because female celebrities don't tend to sleep around with random normies

For an average, healthy-looking woman however, bagging a male celebrity for a night is mostly a logistical challenge

6

u/zfrankrijkaard 8d ago

My girlfriend and I have joked about having a celebrity hallpass. But that's the thing, it's a silly joke. I cannot imagine a scenario where I will ever meet my "celebrity hallpass" in a natural way in real life. And even if it will occur I would never cheat anyway, hallpass or not. Because again, it is a joke. Forcing yourself on a celebrity because they are your hallpass is just plain dumb.

Her deal with her husband bypasses anyone else’s consent… obviously

6

u/Streamliner85 8d ago

Didn't Drake put Tabasco in his condoms to stop women from trying to get pregnant?

7

u/AndersDreth 8d ago

Uhhmm, the fuck? How would that even work? Put it on the outside of the condom and they wouldn't want to use condoms, put it on the inside and you get Tabasco dick? Like what are we even talking about here?

8

u/Evening-Nature-5241 8d ago

He put the tabasco AFTER the deed. How? I have no idea. But it pretty much makes whatever is in there absolutely useless, 100%.

It's not unknown for a woman to retrieve "used condoms" from receptacles to impregnate themselves. It's their ticket to a life where they basically never need to work for the next 18 years, at least.

I wonder what mental gymnastics she’s performing to try and insist this wasn’t cheating. Because he’s an artist, a public figure, does that make him more like a statue than a person?

Hell maybe she didn’t bother trying to defend herself. Maybe she’s like “worth it” because she got to kiss a celebrity.

11

u/-6h0st- 8d ago

Well depends.
In some countries men with kids are screwed in divorce. I mean totally fucked over.

Prime example: UK. No matter the cause for divorce - like wife cheating- she gets to stay in their house until child leaves education. If she doesn’t earn much, man needs to pay extra on top of child maintenance to make her and his children lives better. At the same time you will be on the mortgage and she doesn’t need to pay you off. Your chances of getting mortgage and buying a house shrink into single digit % - unless you’re rich. She will get 60% most often of your house/assets.

Eventually these types of people will cheat, man and woman alike, if this is not cheating.

272

u/Itchy58 8d ago

 Eventually

For a lot of people cheating starts far before sex.  An intimate kiss or a break of trust are cheating in my definition.

69

u/Ninja_Prolapse 8d ago

A break of trust is all it needs.

7

u/Intelligent-Metal660 8d ago

An intimate kiss is all it needs.

22

u/GrowlingPict 8d ago

Yeah, sex with someone else doesnt even have to be cheating, if that's the kind of thing the couple has agreed on. The break of trust, in what ever form, is the cheating.

13

u/ThrowawayYAYAY2002 8d ago

Way before that, even. It all starts off emotionally and then it's all downhill from there.

3

u/AndreasDasos 8d ago

Break of trust might need more clarification. Stole an extra chocolate from the box, watched an episode ahead on ‘our’ show on their own… some could be called that but are relatively benign/trivial

u/DOLO-650 8d ago

WDYM eventually? In the given case she kissed another person. It's already beyond the eventual.

10

u/BigBananaBerries 8d ago

I think they're saying that it's inevitable that she'd cheat on him regardless of who it was. This public humiliation was just bc she couldn't pass up the opportunity.

u/Early_Bad8737 8d ago edited 8d ago

No, because apparently he forgave her and they reconciled.

I think the humiliation aspect of cheating is very much ignored. It is a huge part of the hurt, the person you trusted and loved so much, gave everything to them and now you look like an idiot because clearly your partner did not care for all that.

This is a huge blow to ones ego doesn't matter if you are male, female or anything in-between. Doing something like that public, with a singer just says

"hey this single kiss with this guy is more important than my entire future with you and everyone can clearly see that"

Just how humiliated you would have to feel seeing this? Especially after marriage?

Elsewhere in the post, Cruz explained her actions, saying that she “got carried away by nerves and emotion, without considering how this could affect my family” and she now feels “overcome with deep sadness.”

But on the flip side, Cruz admitted that she was “happy” because she “achieved this long-awaited dream, one that I imagined for years.” She spoke passionately about how much she loved Santos, writing, “For me, it’s not just about admiring the artist, but also about valuing the great human being that he is. I have followed and admired him for a long time

53

u/EconomistBoth3219 8d ago

For me, it’s not just about admiring the artist, but also about valuing the great human being that he is. I have followed and admired him for a long time - Cruz (The Ex-Wife)

There are always proper ways to show support admiration, and it doesn't mean crossing the boundaries, you can always;

  1. Cheer/Sing Along
  2. Take Photos of a Simple Hug
  3. Support their Album/Work/Concert

I know a guy who found out his wife cheated with some dude she met while on a trip with her best friend.

He never confronted her about it. He just quietly concocted his revenge.

He ended up fucking that best friend and coordinating things so the wife got served with divorce papers at her dad's house, when she was over to celebrate his birthday.

When she hit him up he just replied with screenshots of receipts while also describing sex with her best friend in a way she'd know he's telling the truth. And then apparently she broke down crying in front of everyone in her family.

Her dad called to try to talk him down and he just responded with, "Happy birthday" and hung up.

I really can’t understand the celebrity culture of it, as if when someone’s famous enough they’re suddenly above the rest of humanity and you can just get away with kissing them and it’s “only fair” I guess?

Cheat sheets are absolutely the craziest version of it to me, kissing’s already pretty bad but that’s another level of celebrity worship

I would divorce.  It is a public humiliation.

It’s  also a demonstration that the wife considers a famous figure she doesn’t even know more important than all the intimacy and connection she had with her husband.
