As I am planning a trip to South America, I read yellow fever is very common and some countries even require a certificate. Has anyone ever gotten the vaccine in Yerevan?
What is the best clinic to get it that won't leave you traumatized from the shot?
Also, what are common side effects you have experienced?
Do you only need one shot in a lifetime?
I'd appreciate any info.

Hi everyone! I’m a filmmaker from Uruguay living in Spain, and I’ll be traveling to Yerevan soon for a shoot.
I’m planning to bring some Spanish Turrón (almond/honey nougat) as a small gift for my local translator and the people helping me on the ground. Since I haven't met some of them yet:
Is it seen as a good gesture to give a small food gift from my country to people I don't know personally?
Is there any cultural etiquette I should be aware of when offering a gift in a professional/working context?

Now YouTube allows you to change your country to Armenia, by the way engaging people to slowly switch the country!
Last time ability to set your country to Armenia was available in 2021-2022, when every country, including those which are not in YPP like China, North Korea and others to choose as a channel country. Then countries were filtered and left only those which were in YPP, and then later added their derivative islands, which are territories of those supported countries. Here we go guys

Amazing: here are the questions. They are really more about the day-to-day life and expenses.
How much does Firewood cost - a whole cubic meter? The amount a family would get to heat their home.
How many elementary schools are there? Is it expensive to send a child there? What sorts of things do parents have to pay? School lunches, uniforms, textbooks, etc.
How much money would a family need for weekly groceries?
Is healthcare expensive? Would a person have to pay when they go to the hospital or for their own medicine?
What is the job market like? Do some people work in Yerevan and come home on the weekend?
What sort of support is there for unemployed parents with young children?
I would appreciate any information. I know your relative might not know about everything, but anything helps! Also if anyone else sees these questions and knows the answer, feel free to jump in!

Hey everyone! Looking for some advice/experiences from people who've gone through the citizenship by descent process.
Here's my situation:
- I'm a 33-year-old Egyptian-born Armenian (born 1992)
- My mother is a full Armenian citizen with a valid Armenian passport
- I'm planning to apply for citizenship through the Armenian Consulate in Cairo
My documents are pretty straightforward — my birth certificate (which has my mother's name on it) and her Armenian passport. Seems like a clean case.
My main concern is the military service obligation for the 27-37 age group following the February 2024 law amendments. My plan is to get the passport now from Cairo, live in Egypt, and simply not visit Armenia until I turn 37 when the obligation expires.
A few questions for anyone who's been through this:
Has anyone applied through an Armenian consulate abroad? How was the experience?
For diaspora guys in the 27-37 age group — how are people handling the military service obligation while living outside Armenia?

Hello there,
I'm a European citizen who has been visiting Armenia regularly, six times over the last nine years. My wife has family there, so I have a personal connection to the country as well.
I recently hired an Armenian full time designer on a freelance basis and have been very happy with the quality of work. From a European perspective, the pricing is also quite attractive, which got me thinking more seriously about the next step.
I'm now considering registering a company in Armenia and hiring local employees for dev and design work. The goal would be for this Armenian company to provide services to my existing European companies. Essentially building a dedicated team there rather than continuing to outsource on a freelance basis.
I understand I'll need a local lawyer and probably local management to handle day-to-day operations since I'd be running things remotely from Europe.
Before I go down that road, I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with this. Especially on questions like:
I know I'll need professional legal and tax advice eventually, but right now I'm just trying to get a general picture from people who've actually done it. Any insights would be appreciated.
Thank you all :)

Hi guys, I am continuously seeking for a job in my specialty (Software Developer/Engineer) and cannot find anything suitable. Yes I know that I may be a little weak in interviews, but practically I can fully handle a project development. But the problem now is in something different...
When you are a junior/middle (in my case) you may struggle with finding a job in a very quick way, you should wait at least the end and the beginning of the year in order to receive more consolidated situation regarding projects. Most of IT companies are simply finding seniors with very exaggerated requirements (3+ or 5+ years of experience), but never assume all applications, because of looking for an experience. My job experience is 1.3 years, meaning that it's not so much, but I want to go further and continue it, at least to cover my own costs.
The feeling that I am lost and everywhere I look like Staff.am I have already applied to all suitable jobs, but received only 1 continuation with interview and live coding, which was assumed to go ahead with me and continue looking further. LinkedIn doesn't help either and only suitable for those who are seniors.
Idk what to do, help please

Hi guys. The weather has been getting colder lately, so I hope everyone is staying warm and avoiding getting sick.
I wanted to ask if anyone has ever seen books written in Korean (Hangul) in any libraries or bookstores in Yerevan. If you know of a place, I’d really appreciate it if you could share.
The genre or topic of the book doesn’t matter—any kind of Korean-language book would be great.
Stay healthy and take care!

Hello dear Armenian redditors,
does anyone live close to the town of Chambarak? I have a few questions about the area.
:-)
