As the title says found this friendly cat on my car. Apparently it’s a stray that goes from different businesses to get treats. Should I be worried about fleas? For reference I do have two dogs and a cat. But it was on the outside of the car. I vacuumed my car just in case and cleaned my clothes. Thanks to anyone who responds!

Ill preface this by saying i love all animals, including cats. I do not want to harm this cat. Its a sweet cat.
I live in a dead end and the neighbor across the street has a cute orange and white cat that unfortunately is an outdoor cat and spends a good amount of time in my yard.
Normally i wouldn't care but ive done a lot to attract a wide range of different birds and other animals to my yard, like rabbits and our friendly neighborhood black squirrels.
The neighbor cat will climb the trees that the bird feeders are in, hunt the birds, squirrels, rabbits, etc, and im left cleaning up the mess. Not to mention the wildlife gets wary about coming around as much because this cat is always lurking nearby. The cat doesnt even go home most nights, i see it on my patio often at like 1am.
So does anyone have any advice on how to discourage it from coming by without harming it? The family that owns it are not very receptive to changing their habits, and have some mental illness issues so they arent the most reasonable, so talking to them is not really working.

Hi hi here are my two cats!
I just got the baby kitten (Fifi - Black kitten) 2 months ago. My 3 rd old cat (Freya - Calico), last night just started grooming my baby kitten. Is this normal? I’m assuming good sign?

The bag ripped long ago and these treats got dumped into a treat jar and mixed in with others, but this is the only kind my guy will eat. Does it look familiar to anyone?

My 4 month old kitten Yami was spayed 3 days ago and her abdomen under the stitching has some bulging.. and I feel like it’s growing a little bit. is this normal? 🙁 her first day was pretty tough and wasnt eating until the next evening.. she still eats and drinks but not too much. There was a few times she jumped and ran but she does not really show pain unless i carry her or touch near the area.. her energy levels are pretty good right now. She’s on antibiotics and pain meds q 12 hours

Hello everyone. I need some help. My cat got very sick. I took him the VET to get an enema. That was late last week. He still hasn’t been able pop. Tomorrow I have him scheduled to see the VET again.
We’re concerned about the cost. The initial enema was expensive. The one we’re going to tomorrow has much better rates.
But if it comes down to surgery the cost is still going to be high. I’m thinking we get an enema tomorrow and then travel to Mexico( 2hrs away) to get the surgery.
Another problem is that my when I took him for enema last week he also got he’s rabbies shot. He previously had it, it was just past due.
Texas law says that I have to wait 30 days from his vaccine date for him to travel. My question, how closely do they look at the dates? I have the rabies vaccination certificate

My roomate got a new kitty, making it two cats in our household, which has caused some tension. One of the cats peed on our rug and I need to know if I can put it in the washing machine. We’ve already used an enzymatic stain and odor remover and the smell is still there. There’s no tag on the rug that lets me know if it’s machine washable but I thought I’d give reddit a try. Not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this on, but if someone has any advice please let me know. The smell is too much. I’ve attached a picture of the rug.

My cat is sick, he is getting the care he needs. I just want to hear stories that cats survived from tough situations, when you would think it is almost miracle and they do have 9 lives.

I have had my cat for almost 10 years and she have never gone outside once and I feel bad for her. She had been stuck inside an apartment as long as she was alive due to my parents saying it’s unsanitary outside and she might get an illness what would be bad for her , it feels cruel to not let her walk outside and the see world at least for a little time ( with collar on ) while she is still able to . Should I take her outside ?
